Chapter 1
Brizee stood backstage watching her best friends onstage. She has known them for like ever since they got together, but she has known Nick longer than all of them. She and Nick have been best friends since birth. They have been through everything together. When Nick went on tour, Brizee went with him. They were never apart. Brian, Kevin, AJ, and Howie think of her as a little sister. They also thought that Brizee and Nick would make a great couple. But Brizee and Nick told them that it would never work. Leighanne, Kristin, Amanda, and Sarah came up to her.
“Hey girl,” Leighanne said.
“Hey,” Brizee said.
“Hi girls,” Willa said as she came up to them.
“What do you want,” Kristin said.
“I got a backstage pass, I want to talk to Nick,” Willa said.
“Forget it,” Sarah said.
“Now, Sarah, being engaged to Howie, I thought his sweet side would rub off on you,” Willa said.
“I can be sweet, but what you did to Nick wasn’t sweet, it was bad, you hurt one of Howie’s friends, that’s unforgivable,” Sarah said. Willa shook her head.
“Look, I got a message from Nick asking me to come here, he sent me this backstage pass, okay,” Willa said.
“He didn’t say anything to us about it,” Brizee said.
“Probably because he was scared of how we would react,” Leighanne said.
“Girls, I’m a new person, okay,” Willa said.
“Yeah, but some of us can’t forget the past,” Sarah said.
The guys came backstage. Brian, Howie, AJ, and Kevin saw Willa.
“What are you doing here,” AJ said.
“Nick invited me,” Willa said. The guys looked at Nick.
“Nick, are you crazy,” Brian said.
“Come on, Willa,” Nick said. They went to his dressing room. Brizee turned away from everyone and closed her eyes. Brian came over to her.
“Hey, you okay,” Brian said.
“If he gets back together with her, he loses me as his friend,” Brizee said.
“Briz, don’t say that, you know he cares about you, he won’t want to let you go, never,” Brian said.
“I can’t be in his life if she is in it, too,” Brizee said.
“There is no way he will let you go, okay, get that through your head,” Brian said.
“I can’t stand Willa, she hurt him before, she’ll do it again,” Brizee said. Nick and Willa came out holding hands. Brizee turned and saw them.
“Willa and I are back together, she told me she has changed and is a different person,” Nick said. Brizee turned and ran out of the venue. She jumped into her car and drove off.
