Latent Energy

We are all programmed to believe that what we see is real and that matter is solid. And since neither is true, one could wonder what was going through the minds of those who came before us. We could blame it on ignorance and a wicked conspiracy that some chosen few were, and still are, fully aware of the truth of our existence and tell the lesser-minded community which so-called truth to follow.

Packaging it neatly as education and selling it to the consumer making them feel as if they are meant to believe what they say and their lives will not be complete without it. Fear has played a massive role in the control of millions of minds for centuries. Belief is a powerful thing to the point of moving countries to strike against each other and wage war in the name of their own truth. This so-called Truth depends greatly on ones' own point of view. The Power that lies dormant within us all has slowly begun to awaken and the true essence of what we all are - is slowly fighting its' way to the surface.

We are after all – magnificent.

Outer Space - Somewhere...

Drifting along, Aiden felt a sense of peace that he had never felt before. The last energy blast sent him reeling and he needed a time out. The blast and the lack of gravity sent him closer to the Earth than he would have liked and he turned to face the blue planet one more time. It was so majestic and peaceful that he allowed his thoughts to stray for a moment. He immediately understood why all the villains in movies wanted to conquer and settle on this gem of a planet. Who wouldn't right? Urgency suddenly washed over Aiden and he spun around to face his enemy. The asteroid was heading towards Earth at a speed unknown to man. And no one could tell where it came from. Attack, was his main plan. He had to hit the enemy so hard that there would be nothing left of it. His oxygen levels were flashing on the digital display inside his helmet.

"I'm running out of time".

He took one last glance at my home as he drifted through outer space. He tried not to breathe in too deep, aware of my waning oxygen levels. The extra oxygen the engineers injected into his suit to boost his supply truly helped. And as he drew closer, he began to raise his energy level higher than he'd ever done before. There was minimal damage he could do here. Most objects in his path were rogue asteroids. Debris from the shattered planets and stars fell from the skies. Minimal casualties... The energy surrounding his suit formed a sphere of power turning him into an glowing ball of energy, shining like the sun. A bullet of power aimed straight at the one thing trying to destroy his home.

"I'm sure it has a mind of its own. How else did it repel my last blast?"

He launched forward propelling himself as fast as he could, which seemed to be faster than he'd ever imagined he'd be traveling. Approaching a speed of 10G, according to his on-screen display, he made his approach and passed the moon only to come face to face with his worst nightmare. The Enemy had begun breaking apart, dropping off chunks of compressed rock, metal, and ice. He had dented it before so he knew there must be a weak point somewhere within. "Everything has a weakness," he thought to himself. And as Aiden fought his way through the debris, smashing through chunks of the asteroid the size of cars and small boulders, he momentarily questioned how the hell he got himself into this mess.
