Chapter 1

There’s only one reason why I had to stay away. The only hija in the family full of expert business tycoons. I always envy those people who are living in an ordinary life.

“Ma’am do you want something to eat?” I heard the stewardess asked me as I stared outside the window.

I cocked my head on her direction and just shooked my head. ” No, I’m fine. Thanks.”

She bowed her head and then transferred to the other passengers to ask the same question.

I took a deep breathe that was disturbed by the pilot’s announcement. I stared back at the window and saw the white wide roof of the airport.

" Thank you for flying with us...” The fresh breeze of air strucked my face.

" Yes, I’ll be in the hospital in an hour. Beep me if something urgent happens.” I was interrupted by a male voice. Rough and baritone. I looked back and saw a giy wearing a complete coat and tie and an attache case on his hand. His other hand was on his phone and he held it on his ears.

He gazed at my direction and that was the moment I realized I was deeply staring at him. His eyes met mine. He is probably the most handsome guy I met. He wasn’t far from my direction. He just stood there while he looked back at me. His hair was on clean cut and was tussled back. His eyes were a bit chinky like he is some kind of a Chinese.

He is actually beyond perfection. Aside from my brothers, of course. Parehong-pareho ang panga nila ni Kuya Adam. His jaw moved and I felt something roaming around my stomach. His forehead knotted and he immediately looked away that made my heart almost leaped.

I swallowed the lump in my throat. Damn.

I walked through the exit.

I stood near the taxi parking.

I sighed deeply. I should’ve called Kuya Adam or Allios or Ashton. I have three brothers, but I don’t want to bother them. Lahat sila may trabaho. Busy sa lahat.

I fished out my phone from my coat’s pocket. Ever since I left Philippines long time ago, I lived with independence.

" Hello Rikka?”

" Hello, who’s this?”

" Talea...” I answered. There was a long pause before I heard her shrieked like something happened.

" Baby C! Napatawag ka?” I chuckled as I heard her endearment to me. She’s one of my friend way back high school.

" I’m here at the airport. Can you ahm pick me up? It’s okay if you’re busy. Kukuha na lang ako ng taxi.”

" Nope, leave ko ngayon. I can pick you up in less than ten minutes or so. Just wait for me.”

" okay. thanks. I owe you a lot.”

" Okay, wait there baby C.” She ended the call.

I put my phone back in my pocket. I filled my lungs with air before I looked at the other direction.

There, I saw him again. He was still carrying his case while his phone is on his ears. He seemed like a busy person. He sure is a businessman.

I wanted to stare at his handsome face.

" Baby C!” Her car was parked nearby and she was waving at me.

I waved back and smiled.

" Hey!” I greeted.

You shoud’ve called one of your brothers!”

“Nah,I’m fine with you.” I replied.

" Where are you going to stay?” she asked when she started the engine. Her car roared to life.

" I’ll be staying in Louvr and then I’ll travel to Aklan for a vacation.” I said nonchalantly. I leaned my head on the seat and stared at the side mirror. I saw the guy entered a white Range Rover.

" Vacation in the Philippines,I mean.” I clarified.

She shrugged her shoulders. “Okay.”
