Chapter 1
"Xie yun, you have sinned against your own, you will burned to death at stake. Your actions are unforgivable. They will ruin our generation. Guards take him to the open market place where everyone will see what's the consequence of going against the set of norms made by our ancestors".
Xieyun, struggled against them. But he had no energy to fight. His body was beaten black and blue. He was cursed today, then beaten black and blue and then thrown in prison. But all of the witches wanted him dead. They wanted him to burn to death for defying their orders. They wanted him to be a lesson for those who tried to go against their magic.
Xie yun was in prison when he met with a 1000yrs old wizard. He was cunning, shrewd but also very humble when he is in mood. When he saw xie yun he pitied him. Xie yun was just 21yrs old young witch and he had practiced expression which was banned. His curiosity got best of him and landed him here.
The old wizard li Zheng, was looking at him when he looked at yun's wrist. He was shocked to see someone from the lineage witches family. They were rare now. There magic was in blood and was marked by three symbols on their wrist. But if the symbol disappears it meant they are either dying or their magic is being snatched.
He talked to xie yun.
"My boy, what crime did you commit to be locked like this? Well i am not concerned. You cannot die. I have not seen a lineage witches for centuries now. If you doe now, it will be waste. Repeat after me and learn it. When you will be at stake tomorrow, repeat it, as soon as they lit the fire. Don't be second late".
Whole night xie yun, kept repeating the spell. He didn't sleep a wink. Next morning when they took him to stake, and tied him, he kept repeating it. Whisper spread quickly, everyone kept calling him crazy, foolish, traitor and what not. When the pyre was lit with fire, xie yun with his last strength spoke the spell loudly, causing the lightning to struck in sky, everyone stopped and looked at pyre where xie yun was tied for death, had disappeared.
On other side, xiao zhan was attending a party near the beach, with his university mates, but he wasn't thr party animal type of people so he was roaming near the shore, enjoying the sea breeze, silently looking around and sipping on his cocktail.
He was called by his mates to join them, so he dropped his cup and was heading back, when he saw someone lying, bloodied and bruised a little far from him. He went near the body, to see if he was mistaken, but he was surprised when he saw it was really a body, he immediately knelt near him.
"Mister, can you listen me?? Hey open your eyes, what's your name. Are you from our university".
Xiao zhan leaned near his mouth, when he saw something coming out of his mouth.
"X...xie....Y....un.....f....uture....help.....".
After that the man fainted and xiao zhan panicked. He immediately texted his friends that he was going and will try to meet at university tomorrow and they should not worry, it's family emergency. Neither did he remember in hurry that he had no family, he was an orphan, nor his drunk mates caught it.
