The Mistake

Makarov was livid. Not only had Natsu and his team disobeyed his orders to stay away from Porlyusica and her son, but they stole from the boy. And they stole something of importance to everyone.

"Why did you kids disobey my one strict rule?" Makarov asked in a serious tone.

Natsu opened his mouth but was cut off by Erza. "We did not mean to disobey, Makarov. We simply needed to help Wendy get better and they weren't cooperating."

"Wendy is doing just fine. Just because Porlyusica doesn't like people, doesn't mean her son is the same way. Once he finds out you stole his book, he will wreak havoc upon the guild."

"What is so important about the book?" Gray asked, genuinely curious on why the book mattered so much.

"He is a witch. A very witty, cunning, smart, and powerful witch. Porlyusica is very proud of him as a mother. As a teacher, she thinks he can be better, hence why she's training him in the ways of her medicine." Makarov explained.

Before any further questions could be asked, a slam sounded through the hall. Everyone turned to the doors. In the doorway stood a boy, about as tall as Natsu, with black hair, golden eyes, and covered in a red dust. He wore a purple patched witches hat, a tight purple shirt with black writing, a black coat tied around his waist, black skinny jeans, and black boots. He stepped forward, a black cat popping up on his shoulder.

"I demand my book." He said, his voice cold and menacing.

Makarov tossed him the book and he caught it with ease. The boy flipped through the book before nodding and looking at Makarov.

"I do not want this situation to happen. Ever again." He warned, getting a nod from Makarov before leaving.

Makarov sighed in relief before standing to address the guild. "Listen up, brats. I do not want Porlyusica or her son to ever have a reason to be angry with us. Therefore, if anyone has any plans to do wrong by them, don’t. This situation could have ended much worse."

The guild agreed and went about their business until Porlyusica walked in. She walked up to Makarov and stared at him. "Do you wish to have my son on your bad side?" She asked coldly.

Makarov shook his head. "Of course not. We wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize our relationship with you two."

"Obviously your kids don’t see it like that. Stealing my sons book."

"Porlyusica, he got his book back." Erza said to the healer.

"That is not the point, woman. My point is that you thieved it from him."

"We just wanted to help our friend--"

"And you think we are doing a lousy job because why else would you nab the book!"

"She isn't recovering quick enough!"

"She is young! She is healing at the normal rate for her age!"

"If your son is so powerful, why doesn’t he heal her!?"

"He is in training!"

"MOM!!" The boy yelled in a deep voice. Everyone turned quickly, even Porlyusica, to see the boy standing there, arms crossed and anger in his eyes.

"I told you to wait--" Porlyusica began.

"And I told you everything was fine."

Porlyusica sighed and rubbed her forehead. "I wish your father was here."

"Shouldn’t have killed him then." He turned and left with a puff of smoke.

Makarov gave her a look and she shook her head. "Not now." She left the guild after her child.

The next morning, everyone stood outside the guild. Nobody was able to get in and Wendy needed care. Makarov used his communication lacrima to contact Porlyusica. She answered and scowled. She wasn’t happy.

"What?" She asked harshly.

Makarov spoke with as much confidence as he could. "We cannot get into our guild. Keys won't work and neither Levy nor Freed can rewrite the code for the enchantment."

Porlyusica chuckled. "Ahh yes. I sent my son to check on Wendy earlier this morning. He must still be helping her."

"Why the enchantment?"

"So nobody bothered me while I worked." The boy said as the guild doors opened and him and Wendy walked out.

"He is really nice guys!" Wendy said with a smile.

Makarov sighed in relief. "Are you feeling better?"

Wendy nodded and smiled as she hugged the witch. "Thanks to him, I am fully healed!"

The witch smiled and gently patted her head. "Don’t go running into thorns again, little miss."

Wendy nodded and skipped over to her team. Makarov nodded at the boy as the witch left.

By now, Porlyusica had already disconnected their lacrima so Makarov led his guild inside their hall.
