Paris, blood, and the vampire’s lament
"This slow-burn historical fantasy has me hooked. Karl’s century-spanning stroll through Paris feels like a dreamy, blood-kissed fairy tale—equal parts old-world charm and unspoken hunger. The bank scenes crackle with tension, the club nights thrum with quiet chaos, and every flashback feels like a secret the vampire’s been hiding for ages. He’s no generic bloodsucker, but a lonely ghost haunted by his own immortality. 10/10, I’d follow this cursed count anywhere."

I'm really enjoying this!
"I swung by because I thought... oh.. free book from a writer I follow.... and I LOVE it! I'm sucked in! I really like the plot so far. Already had an 'I wasn't expecting that!' moment, which always makes a book for me. I can really see the action- like it's a movie I'm watching. Can't wait to finish the whole thing, but I thought I would leave this now."

Could not stop reading...
"This book is a great read. I can't wait for the next one (I hope there is another). Like my title I could not put it down! It has just the right amount of drama, actions and wow moments. I also love it when the person you least expected becomes the hero. A few grammar errors but overall a great book."
Amazing!
"This was a fantastic story! I loved the twists and turns. The theological concepts were pretty interesting and the themes were intriguing! A few grammatical errors and some slower parts, but overall it was an amazing read which kept me up for some late nights because I couldn't put it down! I hope to read more about the characters in the future!"
Would I buy this book?
"I am a ravenous reader (pun intended) and rarely buy a book from an unknown author unless it comes highly recommended from a trusted source, or the sample chapters were incredibly compelling. If this book had not been free, I would not have read past the first chapter. The typos and other errors would have dissuaded me. Several chapters in, and I was thoroughly hooked. The characters were engaging and the plot was original. I devoured this book and if the author writes a sequel, would be willing to buy it."
