Chapter 1. Newcomers
Amitola lay there, heaving and sweating in the grass. Suddenly, they slip out, a beautiful colt and a filly. She immediately checks them to make sure their ok and stands up, nudging them with her nose. The colt managed to get a wobbly footing on his thin legs, and takes his first step forward. The filly, seeing this tries to do the same, but falls. She squeals in frustration and tries again, this time leaning on her brother for support. It was a success. After only 30 minutes of practicing they were running around testing their legs. Meanwhile Amitola was studying them, trying to think of names that would be perfect. The filly was graceful, and anything her brother tried to do she did as well. Now the colt..well...he was pretty dang brave for just being born 35 minutes ago. He was approaching a fox, and sniffed it. The fox licked his chops and knowingly glanced at Amitola. She soon pranced over to the colt and the fox slipped away into the
long grass of the prairie. This provided a new opportunity to name them. The colts name is Tokala (fox), and the filly's name is Catori(spirit).
