Five people are stuck in a nightmare world that they must escape by slaying an eldritch monster named Pietas. Afterwards the group explore the world in a crippling paranoia. Two of the dreamers run into each other, and they become involved a race to find the other dreamers, believing the monster Pietas is real. The dreamers have to find one another to survive before freeing each other, and moving on.
