Solid Piece of Work

Amazing book to Read

"I never laughed so much. It’s quirky and bobs between the sane and darn right surreal then again ‘coke is one hell of a drug.’ There’s enough of everything to satisfy. Action, dark humor a love interest. The ingredient s are there and the writing is easy to follow. I love coming of age books and this is a good one. It’s a little to Adult for a YA but 18-35 year olds will love it."

The author does a good job at keeping you guessing. Just when you think all is right, whack, the unexpected happens. The dialogue is energetic and thoughtful. It explores a character torn between good and bad. It’s a thoroughly immersive experience that takes you on a journey as a passenger right in the thick of it."

A thorough great-reread, intriguing and entertaining

"There is nothing i enjoyed as the natural realness all about it. I furiously read on because i was genuinely intrigued. I wanted to find out more about my friend Jimmy, hoping that with a lot happening, he doesn't get hurt. I saw my kid brother in Johnny and it was so damn relatable. It really was a thrill reading this twisty adventure, despite my schedule i just had to squeeze time to devour its unignorable content. The author's writing skill sold out this novel, making it incredibly irresistible and a great use of your time. Deserves multiple reads. This is my second."

Love to Read this

"The book is about an ex-gang member who struggles to be good. There's a healthy dose of jet black humor. The characters are strong, the narrative free-flowing and plot unpredictable. If you like a light fun read and enjoy cheering the underdog you will love it."

One of the best books of my life

"It’s a competent piece of work. Jimmy’s plight is absorbing and true to life. The only thing we can all agree is that the good times are fleeting. The book amplifies this and the 80’s angle is fun. I would give it 5 Stars but it is a little short."
