“My father sat me in his study every day and showed me how to use it. I memorized everything and learned new things, but there was something he said to me I would never forget.”
“What!”
He had a long hard think before he spoke and we could already tell he was changed with what he wanted to say. We remained still, staring at him, hoping he would say it. Because just beyond us was a new chance for our world and his words would determine what we do with it.
He laughed suddenly. “I didn’t really understand it myself. He said that the universe is a lot smaller than we realize. And we, us, the new generation were supposed to see it that way. With this,” He held up the device again, “We can make the universe as little as our backyard.”
