I’m new in this town, i just moved from California to here in Hawkins. It’s nothing like my old home its, well. Weird. Weird people, weird stores. I feel like I don’t fit in. It’s not like the way that people stare at me in the halls its in the way nobody likes what I like. Skateboarding? No. Surfing? They don’t even have a big spread of water near them.
It’s my first day at school today. So excited. (Not really). If I had a list of things I hate I believe school would be near the top. My mom gave me the ‘first day at school speech’. Be good, make friends, blah blah blah. Considering I have already heard this speech a million times before I didn’t listen. I could of memorised it by now if I really wanted to. I left the house wearing a pair of flair jeans and a red shirt with a pair of Nike shoes. I wasn’t to bothered on how I looked to be honest, my mom was though she made my hair look ‘perfect’ and picked out my clothes.
Anyway, I got to my school. It was called Hawkins Middle School. Not too interesting. There were buses everywhere with a bunch of kids leaving them. A group of boys and a girl putting their bikes in the bike sheds and locking them. This school looked pretty average. I went to the office and got greeted by a man. He was going to take me to my first class. He didn’t look very happy, don’t blame him if his job is showing kids around a stupid school.
