Summary

Within a second of the first sting I feel a weight lifted off of me. I opened my eyes and the man was now on the ground across from me clutching at his stomach. I tried to stand up but my legs wouldn’t stop shaking. A hand reached out to me and I immediately flinched at it. “Shhh, love. It’s okay.” I heard HIS voice so gentle, not like earlier. I nodded and he picked me up, carrying me to his car. “The man…” I sniffled trying to warn him but he just pulled me into his chest and held me tightly. I wanted to stay in his arms forever... We got to his car and he gently placed me in the passenger seat. I let out a small whine in protest. He heard this and chuckled softly. My head was pounding and I could feel myself slowly losing consciousness. He looked over at me and rolled my window down slightly enough for the wind to hit my face and wake me. “Thanks. Where are we going?” Rubbing my forehead hoping it’ll make it better. “You’re going to see a doctor.” He said flatly. “Wha-at? No, no I have to get home…” I tried to argue but he raised his hand and shook his head. “I will get in trouble…” “No. Everything will be okay.” His words comforted me though deep down I knew I was going to be punished for being late. I started shaking. My breathing got even faster and my vision started to disappear. *Oh no, no I need to get home. He is going to kill me..* My last thought before I succumbed

Chapter 1

He’s still staring... I looked out the window catching a glimpse of his reflection. His blue eyes sparkled when he looked at me, god I loved the way they sparkled. I didn’t realize I was biting my lip until blood dripped on my textbook. My hand flew up but he was already in front of me. His lustful eyes flashed concern. My shoes smacked on the linoleum rushing to the bathroom, cupping my lip. Thank god, it’s empty… The cold water brushed against my skin, I mocked my reflection, disgusted. Spinning on my heels, arms stretched for the dispenser, I almost smacked right into him… “What.. are… you…” I stuttered, in awe of the audacity this man had. His lips crashed onto mine. “Oh, god” I moaned against his soft smooth lips. I pushed him away. His eyes black, brushing himself off and clearing his throat. “Are you okay?” He asked. As if he didn’t just throw himself at me less than a minute ago! “I’m fine.” Refusing to meet his eyes and feeling my cheeks burn against my sweater sleeve. His eyes went dark again and I felt a hard grasp on the hand I was using to cover my face. “You shouldn’t cover your face, love.” With this, he dropped my hand and left me.
