Not What I Expected
"I've been a fan of Dee Hanna's work, and this isn't what I expected. It's different from her other stories and I'm impressed to see her break from her old formula. I'm not normally into gang/assassin stories, but Dee makes it fresh and unique. The characters are great, each having their own voice. AJ in particular is a fantastic character, I love her no bullshit attitude. Her being involved in a love square is a plot even she didn't expect and I love how unclear where she's going with this. My only complaint so far is trying to understand the universe it's set in. With all these gangs, I'm just wondering the logistics of it (do police ever get involved, is it a dystopian type of society), but these can be clarified later on. I'm excited to see how it ends:)"
