One night…Sarah woke up from sleeping in a metal bed in some sort of ballroom. She opened her eyes and sat up quickly. “ Where am I? “ She said to herself. She looked around and saw a big chandelier and a statue in the middle of the room. “ You’re finally awake! “ A woman said appearing right in front of her. Sarah jumped back frightened. She looked at the woman, she was wearing a long black dress with a shiny purple necklace. She had wild grey hair and purple eyes. “ Why are your eyes purple?! “ Sarah asked. “ We’ll get to that later, my name is Bierce. “ She said. “ Oh, uh. Hello. “ Sarah said. Sarah got up out of the bed. Bierce was surprisingly very tall. She was like 8’11 ft tall. “ I have a mission for you. “ Bierce said, walking down the stairs towards the statue. Sarah followed her. There were 8 portals all spread out around the room, they all had lock signs on them. “ May I ask what that mission is? “ Sarah asked. “ Yes, I need you to collect crystals. It will give me power. Then, I can grant you your highest desires. “ Bierce said. “ That’s cool, I guess… “ Sarah said. “ But, “ Bierce said. “ In order for me to do that, you’re going to have to suffer quite a bit. “ Sarah gulped. “ NOW, getting to the important parts. “ Bierce said. She gave Sarah a watch that looked special and valuable. “ Woah…What is this for? “ Sarah asked. “ When you are inside the realms, this will show a map of the place and where the shards/crystals are. You also have the power to sprint. “ Bierce said. “ Now you can go. “ Sarah looked at the first portal. The lock sign vanished and the portal turned red. She made her way toward it, it had a freaky monkey on it with dreaded sharp teeth. She turned around and looked back at Bierce. “ What does this mean..? “ Sarah asked. Bierce crossed her arms. “ You’ll see. “ Bierce said. Sarah gulped again. She turned around and slowly walked into the portal. A bright white view took over her eyes. She looked away. Then the white view was gone. She teleported into a hotel. But hey, the hotel didn’t look too bad itself. Until, she walked further and saw creepy pictures of more of those monkeys. She walked further and saw a cardboard monkey with a hotel hat and outfit, and a creepy smile….She backed away from it. She continued to walk and then she ended up in a hallway. She looked at the end of the hallway and saw a elevator. But, she saw one of those creepy monkeys again, IN PERSON! “ Ah! “ She said. She was afraid, but she walked toward it. Once she was more closer. The monkey screamed and then the elevator door closed. “ Kinda creepy. “ A voice said. “ Ahhhh!!! “ Sarah yelled. “ Oh sorry. I forgot to mention, you can also talk to me through the watch. “ Bierce said. “ Oh. “ Sarah said. She walked inside the elevator and pressed the button. The door closed and classy music started playing. She was scared, but not bad music. The music stopped and the elevator door opened. She saw the statue again holding a purple gem. “ A few instructions, you see those floating bits of crystal? Bierce asked. “ Yeah. “ Sarah said. “ Those are soul shards your going to be collecting. They are fragments of each soul that has met their end here. Also you’ll need this. “ Bierce handed Sarah some sort of device that had a map with a bunch of purple squares. “ This gadget shows all of the shards location. It was left by the last….guest, to disappoint me here. Very clever boy. Just….not a very fast runner. Oh yeah. For a fair warning, you are not alone. There are monsters in here, and they’re looking for you. But to make it easier, you have 3 lives. Sometimes you get extra ones. Also if you lose the tablet, you’re done. Anyways, enough chit chat. Start collecting them. “ Bierce said. Sarah looked at the tablet and looked at the number of shards her eyes got wide. She had to collect 289 shards! “ How am I supposed to get them all? It’s so much! “ Sarah asked. “ Just do it. Trust me, it won’t be hard. “ Bierce said. Sarah was worried. “ Okay.. “ She said. She started walking. “ Hey! You gotta be running if you wish to survive. “ Bierce said. Sarah gulped and started running. She ran through the halls of the little maze. She collected shards as she was running. She started to hear loud footsteps. She looked behind her and saw a monkey! With blades for hands! She started to run. “ It’s coming! “ Bierce said. Sarah was getting tired and she needed to take a breath, but that had a price of her life. She gasped for air and continued running. She collected more shards. She looked at the tablet. She collected 187. She accidentally tripped with the monster still on her tail. “ No! “ Sarah screamed. The monster got closer and Sarah saw nothing but black. She saw 3 skulls in front of her. One of them disappeared. Then, the black view was gone. “ What happened! I thought I died!!! “ Sarah yelled. “ Did you already forget that you had 3 lives? “ Bierce said. “ Oh…yes.. “ She said. “ Okay. Just go back to collecting them and don’t screw up this time. “ Bierce said. Sarah was ready this time. She started running and started collecting more shards. She ran down the corner and saw a red shard at the end of the hallway. “ What does that mean?! “ Sarah asked. “ Go find out. “ Bierce said. She ran toward the red shard and collected it. She looked at the tablet and it said, “enemies revealed”. “ Woah! That helps I guess. “ Sarah said. She ran and collected more shards. She saw red things on the map moving. She knew it was the monkeys. She tried her best to avoid them. She noticed one of them was behind her. She ran faster as she collected more shards. “ You’ve gathered half the shards. I’m impressed. “ Bierce said. Sarah was running for her life. She thought she was just going to be doing a safe, fun, and easy mission. Not doing a mission that has a price of her life! She looked at the tablet while she was running and had 30 more shards to collect. She thought to herself, “I can do this.” She ran down hallways and cutting corners and had 10 more shards to collect. She noticed a monkey behind her. She ran very fast and eventually collected them all! “ Congratulations! You have gathered all the soul shards. Now you must get back to the ring piece, and the monsters will go into a frenzy. Get to the statue before Mr. Monkey finds you! “ Bierce said. “ Wait, WHAT??! “ Sarah asked. “ Run! “ Bierce shouted. Sarah went running the fasted she could. She heard loud footsteps all over the place. She looked at her tablet and was close to the ring piece. She finally got to the statue and collected the piece. She was panting. “ Shoot, he knows you’re here now. You need to escape. Get to the portal, hurry! “ Bierce said. Sarah went to the elevator and pushed the button. She heard more footsteps. The elevator door was slowly closing. “ Come on! Come on! “ Sarah yelled. Mr. Monkey broke through the boards and ran to the elevator. “ AHHH! “ Sarah screamed. But, the door closed right in time. She opened her eyes. She sighed. The elevator door opened as she went in the hallway. She heard the elevator ding again. “ THEY’RE COMING!! “ Bierce shouted. Sarah ran fast to where the portal was. “ There’s no escape for you, mortal! “ Mr. Monkey said behind her. Then, she ran right into the portal.
