Everyone needs that one person in their life that they can have,

A person to be there for you at the worst of times and the best,

A person who would take a bullet for you but sometimes the person who you would take a bullet for is the ones that are holding the gun.

Run

I heard my voice encouraging me, I hurried my pace, but only slightly. Because if I did it any faster, it would attract too much attention to me as if I hadn't already gotten enough. I held my breath, trying to restrain my surging lungs and focusing on the broken stone path around me.

This town around me just hummed with delighted energy. I had always enjoyed my trips throughout this small town until now. I had found that some people that were lively and joyful, but today they felt different. Fearful, but why? Could they feel my fear?

I could feel hundreds of eyes watching me. My every move. Probably because I am sprinting with a jacket baggy enough to shield my face.

He's watching me. I know it, I can feel it. I can feel his disgusting eyes.

Anxiously, I scanned the town around me, searching for something or somebody, I tugged at the hood of my jacket, I pull it closer to my face, hiding as I had done a hundred times already before, though nothing could keep me from feeling utterly vulnerable here, out in the open, no amount of clothes would do that.

My throat tightened, the path was dense, packed with way too many people to count. With my jaw clenched, I plunged into the crowd, forcing my way through as if my body were a battering ram. Hands would causally be brushed against me, elbows would accidentally be jabbed at me and I instinctually rested my hand on my stomach as a felt a stitch coming along before putting it away and back to my sides.

Keep going, I have to.

A clearing eventually appeared, only a short distance ahead. The edge of town it was my escape from him. I charged forward, my heartbeat thundering against my ribcage, through my flesh, my bones, the noise around me had ultimately faded as I moved further down away from the vast crowd. Freedom was within reach. I was going to make it. I have to.

Run.

Suddenly somebody had roamed right in front of me, stopping me from my intention.

"Are you trying to run away from me?" He confessed proudly before grasping my wrists tightly together his heated breath on my face. "You will never be able to run away from me. Do you understand? I will always find you.

His eyes panned from my glaring stares, my scowls and now down to his hand--and the blade that I had been carrying, which was now covered in blood. His blood.

Bang!

What the hell?

I peeled my eyes open and jumped up and looked out, I immediately froze.

How could he have found me?
