ONE MINUTE
Martha looked at the wallclock that she held in her hand. A minute passed and she abruptly opened the door to see if Peter was there–but found nothing but the echoes,"I'll be there in a minute." Several minutes passed and several times she pushed herself to the door; turning back disappointed and exhausted.
(Deep silence)
PETER: Mat? You there?
(No answer)
Seeing the door unlocked, Peter entered in. To his horror, he saw her corpse down on floor, mouth all flooded with blood.
(After two hours)
COP: What did you know about her?
PETER: It had just been a week since she shifted to a house right opposite to mine.
COP: So what all happened before the incident?
PETER: She just called me saying she needed my help.
COP: So, probably she was waiting for you. How long did you take to reach after she called?
PETER : Not more than a minute, as I told her.
(Sheriff enters)
SHERIFF: What does the investigation say so far?
COP: She had being eating all the wall clocks of her home.
SHERIFF: Doesn't sound so good.
COP: And, her neighbours thought she was out of city because nobody had seen her since a couple of days around the porch.
SHERIFF: Certainly, she was at her home, trying to eat up the clock...and a minute before her death, she called Peter for help. This really makes no sense except for, she was not doing this intentionally.
COP: Indeed sir! But she didn't die of the glasses she swallowed.
SHERIFF: Would you kindly refine it for me?
COP: She died of a cardiac attack.
SHERIFF: A mentally ill girl, died of a nerdy cardiac arrest within a minute after she calls for help. Is that all we assume?
