Twisted fate
Amara. She was known for her ravishing beauty. There was a lot more to her than her long, luminous, curly, black hair and deep blue eyes that are beyond describing in words. No, Amara was so much more than that. She was fierce. She was brave. She was adventurous. She was never afraid to take risks. However, this got her in trouble. Amara’s greatest weakness was her foolishness. One day, Amara would change. An unspeakable event will occur that will change everything. Before that happens she meets Sartorius.
Sartorius. He was always lurking in the shadows. Some might even say he was mysterious. You never knew what sneaky plan he was conducting in his head. The thing is, his plans always ended in success. That was not always a good thing. Not a good thing at all, actually. He had some type of evil spark in him. He didn’t like admitting it, but he himself even knew something was terribly wrong with him. At least his conciseness kept him out of trouble. He was too clever for that. Sartorius was more than meets the eye. There was so much more to him.
Amara and Sartorius might seem like polar opposites, but they have the same fire inside of them. They both had that spark that just draws you in. It’s unexplainable, but if you knew them, you’d understand. That spark is both a gift and a curse, for the both of them. One day, quite literally, they saw that spark right in front of their eyes. Well, to put it more clearly, they saw a strange ball of moving light. Sartorius tried to analyze it before doing anything, but after he found out he couldn’t find anything without touching it, that’s exactly what he did. Amara’s curiosity was the reason she didn’t think twice about touching the strange ball of moving light. That’s when it all started.
Once they both touched the spark they both ended up in a white room. However, they were unable to see each other. Suddenly, they both heard a voice. It was the spark telling them a message. “Both of you have been chosen to harness either the power of the greatest light, or the greatest darkness. Your actions from here on will determine which of you harnesses which power. Good luck.” After the voice disappeared, they saw each other. Amara was stunned by Sartorius fluffy dark hair and emerald green eyes. She was intrigued.
Too focused on what had just happened, Sartorius took a while to realize Amara was there. Unlike everyone else, Sartorius was not phased by Amara’s beauty. In fact, he couldn’t care less. He was too busy questioning what and why they were chosen for harnessing the power of the greatest light and greatest darkness. What were the powers they would have anyway? It was all just too much. Finally he spoke to shocked Amara.
“Hey. you gonna say something or what?”
“Oh, so you do speak?”
“I’m not the one who was frozen in shock for a solid 2 minutes.”
“Very funny. Okay fine, you got me there. So anyways, what’s your name strange rude man?”
“None of your business.”
“Well for now you’re strange rude man. I’m Amara.”
“Look, I can care less about who you are, all I care about is the situation we are both in now.”
“Well I know you’re gonna end up harnessing the greatest darkness.”
“Haha, anyways, …..Amara, shouldn’t we find out how to get out of here?”
“No we can do that later, common, let’s have fun. Oh yeah, I forgot. Rude people are no fun.”
“Hey, I can be fun...sometimes.”
Eventually, Amara and Sartorius stopped talking and started exploring, which was Amara’s idea of “fun”. Sartorius was annoyed by everything that was going on, but he had to prove that he was fun to Amara. He didn’t like the fact that people may see him as “boring”. The truth was that he wasn’t. Far from it actually. He didn’t like getting in trouble, he liked having things his way. That’s why his plans always succeeded. Amara on the other hand, did everything without a second thought. Some might see it as foolishness, but Sartorius admired that. He imagined how it would be like to do things head first without thinking twice about it, but realized he didn’t like the idea. However, he admired that Amara did. Amara and Sartorius were stuck for a very long time, but Amara always found a way to lighten the mood. Sartorius could never stay bored with her. After a very long while, he actually grew fond of Amara. He never met anyone like her. He might even see her as a...friend. Sartorius never had one of those. He liked doing things alone, but that was until he met Amara. She changed the way he looked at things. She gave him hope. Something that was very hard to do. Amara was simply a free spirit. That however, will soon get her and Sartorius both in trouble.
Finally, something changed. The white room that Amara and Sartorius were stuck in started getting darker and darker. Until there was nothing left except one little piece of light. Amara, being her usual self, immediately touched the piece of light. Sartorius believed it could be like a portal to the world they once lived in. However, the light only changed and the two were able to see people but not touch them. Sartorius’s theory was somewhat correct, but there was more to the light than just being a portal. It was the barrier between all realites. The place Amara and Sartorius were stuck in is the reality they would create. They just haven’t found that out yet.
Sartorius and Amara were happy they could see through what they now call “the window of light”, but they were disappointed that all they could do was look. The truth was, Amara actually started getting bored for once in her life. There was not much to do in the place her and Sartorius were stuck in. That’s what they thought at least until something happened.
Suddenly, another window of light opened in the room. This time though, they couldn’t see anything. It was simply just, light. Amara started wishing someone else would be able to see them or help them find out what they’re supposed to do. Right after she thought of that, someone appeared in the window of light. This time, he could see Amara and Sartorius, unlike the other window of light.
The man that was able to see them was only able to see them, so Amara and Sartorius’s screams were useless. Suddenly, The man pulled out some type of compass and somehow threw it through the window of light. Amara catched it before it could fall. Sartorius started analyzing it to see what it could do. Suddenly the compass started projecting a red arrow leading somewhere. It led to another spark. This time, the spark didn’t say anything and was actually portable. The two went back to the window of light and accidentally dropped the spark inside the window of light.
The man was still there, so he caught the ball of light and somehow found his way in. The man seemed even more mysterious than Sartorius but when he was right in front of them, Amara started sensing some type of fear. Seconds later, The strange man tried to kill Amara but failed because before he could, Sartorius killed the strange man. Afterwards, a strange ball of light appeared once again.
This time, it was carrying an ancient looking book with it in the air. The book was titled “eternity”. Once the strange man strangely disappeared and with him, all the windows of light too, the book mysteriously opened itself. Unusually, it started speaking.
“Past, Present, Future”, said the book of eternity.
The book started speaking of the shocking past and how it was connected to the present and how it would affect the future. Amara and Sartorius now had an overwhelming amount of knowledge. Yet again, a spark appeared, this time carrying a newborn baby. On her arm was a birthmark saying “Destiny”. However, only her parents, Sartorius and Amara were able to see it. They knew she was the beginning of the future.
