Yuiko's POV
I WALKED THROUGH THE CORRIDOR MAKING sure no one noticed me. Being an assassin in a place where every damn person knew you was a hard job.
I pushed the door to my room open and almost got pulverized with a flying knife. I dodged it just in time and closed the door so the knife would hit the door and not anyone walking by. I did have a heart.
“Kazuto! What the hell are you doing?!”, I put my hands on my hips and looked him down, he slightly flinched but didn’t show anymore expressions other than that.
“Testing your dodging skills.”, he muttered and I drew my dagger with no noise and moved with a high speed and put the knife on his neck and pressed it just enough to draw blood.
“Don’t ever do so again.”, I whispered.
“O-okay.”, he muttered and I sheathed my dagger.
I walked over to my closet and got out a black leggings and a black sweatshirt with a white skull on it.
“Don’t you have an assassination job today?”, Kazuto asked me, rubbing antiseptic on his neck.
“I have one everyday.”, I said, slipping the jeans off and pulling the legging on.
“But its the damn Royal family.”
“I assassinated the Light Kingdom ones, how hard will the Dark Kingdom be?”, I said, putting my sweatshirt on.
“They have great warriors.”
’Like?”
“William Grey, Rayette Damion, Livia James, Clayton Matthews, Jasper Vanity and Princess Serenity.”, I stopped tying my lace.
“She’s back?”, he nodded.
“She was at the crash site yesterday.”
“Are you sure it was her?”
“Green-black hair, blue eyes, black clothes. Knightly sword with green emeralds on the hilt. Her name was carved on the blade’s surface.”, he said and I reached for my phone.
I dialed Smith’s number.
“Hello?”, he said calmly.
“BAKA!”, Japanese for ‘idiot’.
“Yui, I don’t speak Japanese.”
“KONO TANE NO KOTE NI TSUITE NO WATASHIT NI KEIKOKU SURUBEKIDA TO OMOIMASEN KA?!”
“Still Japanese.”
“DON’T YOU THINK YOU SHOULD WARM ME BEFORE HAND ABOUT THIS KIND OF STUFF?!”, I repeated in English.
“Yui what are you talking about?”
“Baka, Serenity Wane is back.”
“What?!”
“Don’t be so surprised, I know you knew.”
“You are one good assassin.”
“Watashi wa anata no suimin-chū ni anata o ansatsu shimasu.”, Kazuto snickered. I will assassinate you in your sleep.
“Huh?”
“Nevermind, what do I do about Serenity?”
“I’m not quite sure.”
“Dōiu imidesu ka?”
“Yui, stop with the Japanese.”
“Sorry, I tend to slip sometimes.”
“Now what did you ask?”
“I asked ‘What do you mean?’.”
“I’ve never faced Serenity Wane so I can’t tell you her fighting methods perfectly but she is a pretty strong warrior.”
“How?”
“I don’t know, but I’ll tell you one thing.”
“Nani, I mean what?”
“Don’t underestimate her.”
“I knew that, baka.”
“What the hell is ‘baka’?!”
“Nothing bye.”
I hung up before he could question me further on the meaning of ‘baka’.
“You are seriously crazy.”, Kazuto said and I turned to face him.
“Son’na koto shitteru.”, I whispered and I could see him shiver. I knew that.
“Don’t do that.”, he said, folding his arms.
“Do what exactly?”, I questioned with an unnoticeable smirk.
“Whisper commands, it won’t work on me. It just sends chills up my spine.”
“I knew that, notarin.”
“Hey!”
“Bye!”
I walked out the door, still in my sweatshirt, I locked my guns in and put them in my belt along with my dagger.

I slipped into a dark alleyway and hoped he would be there. There really wasn’t a fixed time for him to appear, he just did and gave orders and disappeared again.
The guard at the door opened it quickly when he saw me and I went inside.
Inside was, as usual, bustling with activity. People did know me there but they were all assassins and I had worked with most of them.
“Yui!”, I turned around to see my over energetic best friend, and yes assassins do have best friends. She was smiling over something but then again she was always smiling over something.
“How did the assassination go?”“I killed the Royal family in 2 days, it became easier because of Astriah’s cooperation.”
“She only cooperated because you told her you wouldn’t kill her.”
“I didn’t kill her, she killed herself.”
“You commanded her to.”
“Never trust an assassin.”
“Unless you threaten them, they don’t really know if you are one.”
“You look normal enough.”
“You don’t.”
“You are tempting me to command you.”
“How is Kazuto?”
“He’s fine.”
“You know, Yui, you have a great brother.”
“I guess, he is very annoying though.”
“You find everyone annoying.”
“Cuz they are!”
“I don’t know what is going to happen of you.”, she said sighing and shaking her head.
“I got to go talk to Nicholas.”
“You are in luck he’s here today.”
“Thanks Shi.”
“The nickname Yui.”
“Its your name.”
“You know its Shichiro.”
“I do but I enjoy calling you ‘Shi’.”
“That’s cause it means Death.”
I smiled and walked away, I could tell Shi was extremely frustrated. I opened the door to one of the rooms and noted Shi was right, Nicholas was there.
I went and sat down on the chair facing him, he ignored me.
“Challenge accepted Nicholas Storm.”, I thought and lifted my booted feet and rested them on his table with a slam. I startled him so much, he dropped the paper he was reading.
“Yuiko! Feet off the table!”, he shrieked and I smirked, but put my feet down.
“What’s up, Nick?”, I said as if I hadn’t just disobeyed one of his most important rules, No Feet On The Table.
“Yuiko, when will you start following the rules?”, he said, rubbing his temples. I was, as Nick likes to say, a very annoying but astonishingly pretty rule breaker.
“I’ll follow the rules when you make proper rules.”
“What do you want now?”, he asked looking up at me.
“Information.”
“On?”, he took a sip of what I assumed was coffee.
“Serenity Wane.”, he choked on his coffee.
After a fit coughing and me patting his back, he faced me again tears in his eyes, “Who?”, he asked in a choked voice.
“Serenity Wane, you know Princess of the Dark Kin-”, he cut me off.
“I know who she is!”, he snapped, “What is she doing here?”
I rolled my eyes, “If I knew why she was here do you think I would come to see you?”
“Ah yes, good point.”, I felt like smacking him on the head or commanding him to answer my damn question.
“Well?”
“I don’t know either, I’ll find out and let you know. For now you can put the assassination of the Royal family in the Dark Kingdom on hold.”, I nodded and stood up. I looked at Nick and saw him immersed in his paper again. I had an evil thought and did just that. I slammed the door shut behind me and heard Nick scream.
“YUIKO!”
