Aria was stuck under wreckage. Her mouth was filled with blood. Her whole body ached, she tried to scream but she couldn't. It was getting harder and harder to breathe by the second. How has she gotten here? That last thing she remembered was turning off the lights. And now she was here. In the dark with no will to live. She had focused herself to her surroundings, she heard screaming and sirens. Then she heard it. A blood-curdling scream.
Turns out, it wasn't a scream after all. She awoke to her alarm clock ringing loudly. She stood up, her body still ached. It was as if she had actually lived through the dream. The dream did feel very real. But it wasn't possible. Aria shook off the feeling and began getting ready for school.
She ran downstairs her mother was on the phone as always. Aria said hello but there was no response. She was used to it though, it no longer bothered her as much as it used to. She grabbed an apple and headed out the door.
Aria always walked to school, during heat waves, freeze warnings, storms and all. But today was different. She was scared. She couldn't explain it but as soon as she got outside she had the ominous feeling something bad was going to happen. She decided to trust her gut and take the bus.

She stood by the stop sign waiting for the bus to come. A group of girls from school began walking towards the bus stop. She had talked to a couple of the girls from school, they seemed nice enough. But what really intrigued Aria was the new girl that was with them. She was dressed wildly, not at all like a girl in 8th grade.
"Hey Aria!" exclaimed a girl named Chloe.
"Oh, hi" Aria responded not sounding cheery at all. The feeling still loomed and she could not shake it off. Her morning was ruined.
"Have you met Alison yet? She's new here." Chloe asked. The wildly dressed girl stood next to her and gave a little wave.
"Hi." Aria waved.
"I was planning to walk but they convinced me to take the bus with them." the girl said.
"Oh that's cool." Aria said trying to end the conversation.
The bus arrived soon after some minutes of awkward silence. Aria got on and went straight towards the back.
The bus was overly crowded but she managed to find a seat. The group of girls from the bus stop sat in the seats around her. The new girl approached her.
"Can I sit here?" she asked.
"Go ahead." Aria said scooting into her seat. Once again the feeling of impending doom fell upon her.
"I didn't catch your name." Alison said looking at her.
"Oh, its Aria."
"That's a really pretty name." she said, "I'm so nervous for school, any tips?"
This girl sure talks a lot, thought Aria. "Um, I'm not sure." she responded shortly.
"Oh ok."
They rode the rest of the bus ride in silence. Just like Aria liked, and just how it should be.

She walked to class alone. Lila, her best friend had just moved away, so she had virtually no friends. When she got to class, Alison was sitting at her desk.
"That's my seat." Aria said sounding annoyed.
"Oh I'm so sorry." she apologized rushing out of her seat.
"No, no stay." said a voice behind them. It was Mrs. Tobagon. "Aria I have moved you to the seat next to Mrs. Indiak since you will be her tour guide."
"I didn't volunteer to be a tour guide though." Aria argued. It wasn't that she didn't particularly like Alison, it was just that she wasn't a very social person in general.
"Your mother did. At the PTA meeting." Mrs. Tobagon said.
Aria was fuming. Her mother volunteered her for things she most certainly did not want to be, and didn't tell her. Apart from completely ignoring her all the time, she did things that would affect Aria without her permission. Where did she get the nerve.
"It's okay if you don't want to be my tour guide, I understand." Alison whispered after Mrs. Tobagon left.
As soon as Alison said this, Aria realized what a jerk she had been acting like towards Alison. She just needed help adjusting to a new life at the school and Aria acting like a jerk was not too helpful.
"I'm sorry, I'm not sure what's going on with me today. And my mother is not making it better." Aria said.
"Oh no I understand we all have our bad days."
"Could I see your schedule?" Aria asked. She was trying to make it up to Alison for being such a jerk. Alison handed her the schedule. "Oh look at that. We have all the same classes."
"Oh that's great!" Alison said clapping her hands together. The bell began to ring. "I'm guessing that means to go to first period."
"Yeah, it does, you can follow me."

Alison ended up hanging around Aria all day. She seemed like a pretty cool person. She no longer annoyed Aria as much as she did in the morning. But something still bothered Aria. Every time she was around Alison she had a bad feeling. Like something bad was about to take place. That's why she decided to walk instead of taking the bus.
"Are you sure you don't want to ride the bus with me?" Alison asked.
"I'm ok I have to-" Aria began, "um, stop at my friends house to pick something up." This of course was a lie, but all she wanted was to get away from the terrible feeling that struck her when she was with Alison. She still felt terrible about it anyways.
"Okay, I'll see you later."
Aria left as soon as the last bell rang. She was about halfway to her house when a car almost ran her over. It zoomed past her about an inch from running her over.
"Hey!" She yelled angrily, but the car continued. She was left to walk home angrily.
She walked in her house and slammed the door behind her. No one was in it anyways. She stomped up to her room and shut the door behind her. She decided she wanted to take a nap.

Once again Aria was back to where she had began. Under wreckage. Her face felt wet with blood and her bones began to crack under the weight of the car. She screamed for help. No one could hear her. She was being crushed alive and couldn't do anything about it. Tears filled her eyes. It was such a terrible way to go. Her lungs were slowly giving in. But before they did, she was able to get her head unstuck and tilted it to the side. Then, she saw her.
Alison was lying next to her with a blank expression on her face. Aria stared in horror. Alison was dead.
