Chapter 1
As I looked out the car window, I wondered why we were moving and how much I missed New York and my friends. My mother looks at me and asks, “What’s wrong, mia?” I responded, “Why did we move?” she looks at me then back at the road and says “You know why, Mia, and you need to find some new friends” I turn to your mum,” but I was Alright New York and had friends.” As my mother looks out the front window, she says, “Honey, we spoke about it, and I told you that being more outdoors is good for you, and New York was too huge for just the two of us.” I give my mother a blank expression. “But, mom, New York isn’t too big for us.”
“Mia , I’m not going over this with you again, and if you don’t like it, you can move back to New York with your father” she said sternly. With a scowl on my face, I turn away from her and you reply “ I don’t want to live with my father and his idiotic wife.” my mom looks at me `` you shouldn’t say things like that, mia ” I didn’t say anything, and as I rested your head on the vehicle window, I began to feel drowsy, and shortly after, I closed my eyes.
I dont know how much time has passed since I fell asleep “ Mia we are here “ My mother touches you on the shoulder to wake you awake. I open my eyes and exclaim, “What? are we here?” I rub your eyes after being awakened. I open the vehicle door, walk out, and say, “It’s not as nasty as I thought.” my mom looks at me and says “ Mia It’s not all horrible. ″ Aside from that, you’ll enjoy it, and there’s someone I’d like to meet tonight at dinner.”
I turn to face my mother and ask, “Who am I meeting?” I glance at her with a worried expression on my face. My mom looks at me and says “you will find out a dinner” I stop and think for a minute and say” ok” and goes to the door of our new home I wait for my mom to unlock her door but for some reason I seemed really confused then my mom says “home sweet home” I look at my mom and say “yeah” with a happy but weird look on my face you still couldn’t get used to the fact that this house was our new home.
