A Demon -1-
I hate the human race.
They’re loud, smelly and tell lies. They say they care but just when you start to trust them they’ll stab you in the back. I especially hate the ones that sleep on the dirt and wear little pieces of cloth and plead for money. I hate them so much that I even came up with a word for the humans that sleep on the dirt, worms.
Right now you must think I’m a monster. And you’re right, I am a monster with white hair and ruby eyes that even scare the soldiers away. It’s funny because all you need to do to scare these guys is to wave around a sword and look different.
It was raining in the small village I was staying at. The village had a total of 30 cottages and one large pub and as one could guess the pub was filled with men. To escape the rain I slowly walked towards one cottage that caught my eye. For one the door was bright red and the rest of the home was built out of stones.
Once I got close to the door I looked around me. Since it was raining there were no children playing outside, completely contrasting the pub. I tried to open the door and I was successful then I slid through it.
The home was dark but I knew I was in the dining room thanks to the little light of the outside. The dining room had a table with one chair and a little fireplace with a soup pot right on top of it. I walked closer to the soup pot and there were little bits ofpottage left. The pottage was light brown and there were chunks of what seemed to be chicken. I grabbed the wooden spoon on the table and took bites of the pottage. It was cold but I can’t complain.
There was a door in the dining room that was slightly opened and dimly lit. There was a shadow of a person there and it seemed that they didn’t notice me, so I quietly unseth my sword. My sword was different to say the least my grip was white while my blade was slightly curved with the outer rim of the blade being all black.
I open the door very quietly to not get the person’s attention. Their back was facing me and from what I could tell the person was in their late 60’s and was just sitting on their bed like they were already dead. I tiptoed to the old person and raised my sword and made the black rim face down, I wanted this to be a quick kill.
Finally the elderly woman turned around now that I got a good look at their face. It was a woman. Her eyes were gray and a bit lifeless so didn’t react to me at all until she narrowed her eyes and held her breath. The woman made a face that was full of sadness and hate, her teeth grinding together.
“Who are you?” She says trying to act calm.
“What do you think I am?” I say as small as possible.
“A demon.” The woman answers so confidently that it actually made me think that I was one.
“A demon..” I laugh out but only for a second.
“Your hair and eyes say it all.” She smiles but it was forced. “There is only one being I know that has red eyes like yours and that’s the devil himself!” She hisses now her face was full of anger. “Why has God punished me..”
“Don’t know.” I say to her before swinging my sword downwards causing her head to be evenly split in half. Now the woman’s blood was all over my face.
The falls off the bed causing the candle that was lighting the room to fall on the floor, luckily it went out before a fire could start. But now the hard part, getting rid of the body. To the room there was a window so I opened it and tossed the body out. It was pitch black outside so there weren’t any people outside yet. My plan is to sleep here for the night and once the sun rises I grab as much as I can and leave before anyone notices the body.
But now it was time for me to rest. I grabbed a cloth and wet it then wiped the blood off my face finally going to bed.
I lied about me hating humans because the one thing I like about them is how red their blood could be.
And so I dreamed of the crimson color.
[A/N: I lied I wanted to make a story that I couldn't get out of my head so I hope you all like it!!]
