Bethany Summers

I can't remember why but I know I have to be quite. I am in eminse pain. My head hurts. Why do I hurt so bad? What has happened to me? Where am I?

I slowly open my eyes. One eye won't open. No matter how hard I try my eye won't open. I look quickly around the room with roving eyes but not turning my head. I see a dirty plywood floor, but nothing else. The room is completely barren of furniture.

I wonder once again what has happened to me. Why am I here? I hear a loud bang and I snap my good eye closed. I lay there trying not to move. I try to breath steadily and evenly.

I hear loud steps coming toward me. I sneak my open a bit. I see a jean clad leg and a worn work boot. I close my eye again. I don't want to see anymore.

I lay on the floor waiting. What I am waiting for I don't know. I try to think. I am so confused. I can't even remember my name.

Finally I hear a second set of foot steps. This one is loud but not nearly as loud as who ever is in the work boots.

I hear a voice say, "Come on we got stuff to do!"

Work boots then starts to walk away. Suddenly I hear scuffing and then there is a sharp pain in my ribs. I scream out in pain.

I hear laughter. Then I hear the lighter steps again and that voice again. "WHAT THE FUCK MAN!"

I hear a second voice say, "See I told you she was awake."

Everything begins to fade until I can no long hear or feel anything.

C.: Ich habe so oft herzhaft gelacht. Was für eine tolle Geschichte. So schön geschrieben. So schön, flüssig lesbar. Ich lieb‘s. Mir tun die Herren in der Geschichte fast leid, die Frauen sind reine Naturgewalten. Lustig, verschmitzt, offen, direkt. So schön. Danke für diese Geschichte und das wir sie l...

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
