Intentional
Chapter 1
Intentional, as in he intentionally tries to embarrass me every day. Were twins and sense birth he was always competitive. He’s two minutes older than me and when we were born he weighed two pounds more than I did. I had the parents that said two was their lucky number, yet still Trey decides to bang on my door at 5:30 in the morning so we can start our last year of high school. I know last year should be the best year but it’s the same for me. Trey will walk in school, make a complete clown out of me and I will be known as “the most popular boy at school, little weird sister.” I know it’s a mouth fool but believe me it’s been said before.
I get my overtired behind in the shower before mama breaks down the door and I’ll be looking clueless and have nothing to say. I turn the shower on and while it warms I go out to get some clothes for today. There isn’t much to wear. We stay in the dress code. The water is slightly steamy, so I step in and get my soap that instantly smells, with a yummy mixture of peaches and lavender mixed in the air. I’m down the stairs within thirty minutes and patt Checo good morning. He’s a 5 year old pure pitt and has a scar behind his left ear from his recovery of an ear infection.
Mama’s already in the kitchen making toast and filling orange juice into cups. I took her eyes that look like the colors of the earth all around green, blue with a hint of huey brown.
“Morning babies” she says as she sets the drinks in our hands and kisses our cheeks. I say “Morning mama” as I give the biggest hug a life can afford. I smell her pomegranate lotion. It was my favorite until it made me break out. She pulls away and look’s over to Trey who is more interested in his phone then he is in saying good morning. Mama turned to look at him then back to me with a grin that tells me she’s about to do something crazy.
She walks over and raises her index finger. With one twirl of her finger there’s a pink glow at the tip and she places her finger on the counter where he stands leaned up against. The eclectic light extends across the counter and reaches Trey who is caught off guard and is shocked while in the process drops his phone on the floor. He yelps and turns around as I try to suppress a giggle. Mama looks at him grinning as if she just won the silliest battle of her life. I look up at Trey who is looking at me with a death glare as I try to stop grinning which makes me full on laugh in the process of grabbing my thing for school. I sit at the kitchen counter and eat my toast, strawberries, grapes ,and orange juice.
