Chapter 1

JESSE:

Have you ever just run through a forest? The tall trees above your head, the sun glistening on your face, just to let go of all your problems and forget everything.

Well, that's where this story starts, a 15-year-old confused girl running through the forest. The wind against her face, almost out of breath. Then she stopped, she tried just forgetting everything that happened but she couldn't, all of the pain just stayed.

She started to cry thinking of what the kids at school said and done to her, and soon enough tears went rushing down her face, all of the pain that was bottled up inside of her came pouring out all at once. She tried to stop because she knew she had to get home to her family, otherwise, they would get suspicious, so she wiped away the tears and started to walk home.

She dreaded walking home to her family, she knew she would be questioned for her teared-up face, and the chaos she would have to deal with once she got home.

She walked slowly through the forest with the sunset glistening through the trees shining on her face. With the thought of just running away on her mind along with so many other thoughts, she realized she was lost. She ran so far into the woods she didn't know where she was, she didn't even know which way she came from. She was frightened, and started to scream, “Help is anyone there? I'm lost,” she said frantically.

Then out of nowhere there was a soft voice, “stop screaming,” said a tall brown-haired girl walking out from behind a tree. “what's your name?” the girl asked, “my names Jesse, what's your name?” The tall mysterious girl took a minute to answer, then she said “my name is Luna” with a slight smile on her face.

Jesse was still scared by the fact that she was lost in the woods but on top of that there was a mysterious girl she had just met in the woods.

Jesse: “can you please help me find a town? I'm lost and it's almost dark,”
She begged.

Luna: “ya I can help the woods can be confusing sometimes,”
She said with a chuckle.

Jesse: “Thank you so much you don't even know how much this helps me”

Luna: “no problem just follow me.”

Luna started walking and Jesse followed in silence, soon enough it got dark and Jesse started to get scared of what her parents were gonna say, but she was prepared for the worst and just happy to get out of the woods. Jesse wanted to break the silence but wasn't sure what to say, so she said the first question that came to her mind when she met Luna.

Jesse: “So why were you out in the woods?”

Luna: “you know I could ask you the same thing,”

Jesse “ I was running away from school it was a hard day, again.”

Luna: “well what happened?”

Jesse: “um no, now you have to tell me why you were out in the woods.”

Luna: “Fine, I was in the woods because I live in the woods.”

Jesse: “haha real funny can you tell me the truth now.”

Luna: “That is the truth, I ran away from home, I found an abandoned home in the woods, now I live alone and if you don't believe me then good for you but don't tell anyone.”

Jesse: “wow ok you're not joking, and I won't tell anyone I promise, but why'd you run away?”

Luna: “ok that's enough questions let's just get you to the town we're almost there.”

Then there it was again, the silence. Jesse felt bad maybe something really bad happened to luna, but that's something she wouldn't find out, not yet at least.

After about fifteen more minutes of walking they finally got to town, Jesse not being able to hold back her happiness, joyfully hugged luna.

Jesse: “thank you so much!”

Luna: “no problem just be careful next time.”

Jesse: “ wait one more question, do you go to school because we can maybe hang out at school.”

Luna: “ Actually I don’t go to school.”

Jesse: “Oh, when will I ever see you again?”

Luna: “probably not, sorry.”

Jesse: “oh, then this is goodbye I guess.”

Luna: “yup, bye, try to get home safe.”

Jesse: “I will, thanks again for helping me find my way back.”

Luna: “you welcome.”

Then Jesse walked home, and Luna went back into the woods. Once Jesse opened the door to her house, her parents came running at her worried sick, but not mad they were just happy Jesse was safe.

That night as Jesse was laying in bed all she could think about was Luna, the mysterious girl from the woods, “will I ever see her again,” she thought, who knows but Jesse knew she wanted to see her again, so maybe just maybe she would see her again.
