Chapter 1
Mew was devastated. He was getting too many hate comments and calls. People were threatening him too. He was crying in his room. He had switched off his phone and had locked himself in his room since the video was uploaded. He couldn't face anyone right now. Not even his parents.
He was lying on the bed, exhausted. He had closed his eyes, tired but then he heard his room door open. He sat up, immediately and froze seeing his parent's. His mom cried and ran towards him and hugged him. Mew hugged her back and cried again.
"I am sorry, mom. I am so sorry....I didn't...I am..." Mew couldn't even say anything
"Shhh....it's ok. Don't cry baby. We are with you. Stop crying na. Please you are making us worried. Please stop crying baby." His mom pleaded. It broke her heart to see her beloved son crying so much
His dad also came and hugged him.
"Stop crying, Mew. We are here for you. Don't hurt yourself so much."
Mew looked at his dad and hugged him
"I am sorry, dad. I let you down. Because of me, you were insulted. I am very sorry, dad." Mew cried
"Shh..you haven't done anything wrong. You have always been my proud son and still are. You just did a mistake. That's not wrong. Instead of hurting yourself, you should explain everything to the people. Let them know what really happened and let them decide. Now stop crying, ok." His dad said
Mew took a deep breath and tried to stop crying. His dad wiped his tears and said,"You are stronger than this. You have to be strong to face all this. You have worked hard to achieve all this. If you don't explain, then they won't stop hating you. Do you understand?"
Mew nodded. He sighed and hugged his dad. They patted his back. His mae cooked food for him. They ate dinner together silently. Everyone was lost in thought.
Next day, Mew met his manager, Tan. Tan hugged him and smiled
"How are you now?" Tan asked
Mew just nodded. "Am feeling better now. What should I do now? How do I prove that I am innocent?"
Tan sighed and said,"I have spoken to the company. They want you to apologise on TV and social media. This is the only way."
Mew looked at him shocked.
"But Tan, I was wronged too. He outed me in front of everyone."
"I know but right now he is ths victim. He was wrong in outing you like that but we can't punish him. We can't do anything. This is the only way to clean your image. Please understand." Tan said
Mew closed his eyes. He didn't want to do this but didn't have a choice. He nodded and agreed. They went to the entertainment company and spoke to the HR. They held a meeting with their team and planned to do the press conference soon. Mew silently agreed and just smiled. He apologized to them too for all the trouble. When they went out, they saw Art and his manager come.
On seeing Art, Mew got angry. He wanted to confront him but Tan stopped him
"Just ignore him. No need to do anything. Let's go." Tan said and dragged Mew along.
They walked past Art, ignoring him. Art looked at Mew sadly. He was about to go towards Mew but stopped. He just looked at Mew leaving. His manager nudged him and told him to go in.
Mew was sad when he saw Art again. When he sat in his car, he saw many people gathered near the entrance. As they were in the parking lot, they could see the entrance but no one could see them. He was thankful that they couldn't see him. Right now, he didn't know what to say or react.
"Mew, are you okay?" Tan asked
"Sort of. After seeing all this, I...I just don't know what to do. I have been acting for a long time but never saw this much hate." Mew said
"Can I ask you something? Hope you don't get offended?" Tan asked
"Yeah...go on ask..."
"Are you gay?" He asked
"Does it matter?" Mew asked
Tan shook his head. "No, it doesn't matter. No matter what sexuality you have or whom you love, doesn't matter. I was just curious, that's all. If you don't want to reply, it's ok."
Mew took a deep breath and said,"I am bisexual. I like both men and women."
Tan nodded. He started the car and they went on their way
"Did you love Art?" Tan asked
"I liked him. I thought he liked me too. That all those moments were special. I was so wrong. It was just acting. I was a fool. I shouldn't have confessed to him." Mew said crying.
Tan patted his hands and said,"It's ok. You did nothing wrong. He shouldn't have gone live on social media. It's not your fault."
"I shamed my parent's. They must be so ashamed." Mew said crying
"No...they aren't ashamed. They still love you and are proud of you. Be strong. This will pass soon. Everyone will forget about this soon."
Mew nodded. He hoped that Tan is right. After a few day's, they arranged a press conference where Mew apologised to everyone and to Art. He bowed in front of al the reporter's and his fans. After the press conference, many fans came to meet him and supported him. Mew was very happy now.
Also his parent's and friends were also supporting him. He took a break from work and spent some days off with his friends. He felt relaxed now. When he came back, he was content and satisfied. He saw Tan and hugged him.
"You look good. How was your vacation?" Tan asked
"It was awesome. I had so much fun." Mew said laughing
"That's good. Uhh...I have a good news and a bad news...which one do you want first??" Tan asked
"Bad one." Mew said
"You have to do a MV with Art. I am sorry but due to the contract, you will have to act in it." Tan said
"What? But I don't want to.." Mew said
"I know but you don't have to act romantic. You have to be angry at him. It's like meeting your ex at a party." Tan explained
Mew sighed and nodded. "Ok. If that's all I have to do. What's the good news?"
"There's a new series starting. You have to audition for the main lead. I am sure that you will get the part." Tan said excited
Mew smiled. "I will try my best. When is the audition?"
They discussed the audition and even planned the clothes. Mew was excited for the new start.
When he went to shoot the MV, he saw Art but he ignored him. The director called him and Art and explained them how they were supposed to act. Art looked at Mew and smiled but Mew just ignored him. They were told to enjoy the party and meet some people. And when they do come face to face, they were asked to make a sad face and look at each other. Mew nodded.
When they finished shooting, Mew went to his makeup room and closed his eyes. He was heartbroken and sad. Meeting Art again made him remember all that he had to endure. He heard the door open. He ignored it, thinking it to be Tan.
"P'Mew...."
Mew froze. He opened his eyes and was shocked to see Art standing in front of him. He ignored him.
Art came forward and held his hands but Mew shrugged him.
"I am sorry, P. I didn't mean to cause so much trouble. I was just so upset that I didn't think. I am so sorry." Art said, sadly
"Let's just forget the past and move on. I don't blame you for anything. It was all my fault. I shouldn't have confessed to you." Mew said coldly.
"P, I...I just didn't know...what to do...please..."
"Please go. I have forgiven you, Art. No need to feel guilty. You live your life and let me live mine." Mew said
"Can we be friends again?" Art asked
"No. I can't. It's better to be strangers from now. I don't want any more trouble." Mew said and walked out.
He could hear Art crying but he just walked out. He didn't want to get involved with him again.
"I have learnt a lesson. Never to get involved with any co-star from now on. I will never get close to anyone now. Thank you Art." Mew thought and left.
