"There are few writers like Jaq Hawkins currently out there in the world today, authors who can impart such vivid imagery with such raw power. I have now read all Jaq's books, and every time I get the chance to read more of her writing I simply devour it like a meaty steak after a long day. Jaq remains my favourite writer, her image of goblins the best that current literary society has to offer."

"I love horror stories and this was written very, very well. The author did a great job of painting a creepy setting with monstrous goblins, especially the female. She really gave me the creeps. Yikes. Anyway,. I would definitely want to read more of this story!"
