Intro

It had been almost 100 years since the beasts emerged. Creatures who were half-human, half-monster. Some drank blood, some turned into beasts at will and feasted on human flesh, some so evil they killed for sport. The scariest ones were the ones who held the blackest magic. The beasts were sick of living in the shadows and following a species that was weaker than them. They attacked the humans and forced them to hide behind barriers and walls. The humans feared for their lives and their children's until one day they decided to revolt. They attacked the beasts but were too weak. More than half of the human population was wiped out.

A few years later, a strange book was found inside the walls protecting one of the human villages. Inside it told of a prophecy that could potentially save them all.

"Hidden from any village, town or city grows a rose. This rose can make humans as strong as the beasts. Many will fail this quest to find the rose, for they are not the chosen one. It will not be easy for The chosen one as they will have to decide if they are willing to give up an ability for the humans. This quest will bring them danger, fear, love, and they will learn more about themselves than they could have ever known."

During the quest for the rose, April discovers that everyone around her is keeping secrets.
