The Orange Haired Boy
Three days ago,
I met this boy.
This orange haired boy.
I know what your thinking,
“Poems have to rhyme”
Well, no. No they don’t
So let me tell you about that day.
That day was November 27, 2021.
That day I met that boy.
Orange fluffy hair.
Tall, taller than me,
but I didn't mind.
Some people think ginger boys are ugly.
But honestly,
thats not true.
Well at least not this boy
This boy,
This boy was handsome.
The first time I saw him,
was in Florida, Lettuce Park.
I loved that park.
I was visiting my grandmother in Florida
and she took me to the park.
We walked around for a little bit and went to the playground they had.
Me and my brother were
messing around.
Well, only me,
I was bothering him.
We decided to play hide and seek.
I hide under the slide.
9 seconds after,
he tapped my shoulder.
The orange hair boy tapped my shoulder.
He said
"Hey tie-dye"
I was confused
but only for a second.
I then realized I had a tie-dye hoodie on.
"Yeah" I simply replied turning around,
only to become face to face with the boy.
"Wanna play tag with me and them" He pointed to all the kids.
I shook my head no,
I didn't want to leave my bro.
He nodded and left.
My heart skipped a beat,
or maybe two,
I felt all warm and fuzzy
A little while later
me and my brother decided to play freeze tag.
We needed another player.
We stood their looking,
well that was until the boy came back.
He looked at me and said
"Mind if I play, playing with these kids are just-"
I looked him with a smile and said,
"Of course. We're playing freeze tag"
I said smiling, he nodded.
I was it, I tagged my brother and started chasing him.
He dodged every. single. time.
A couple minutes later he went to me and did the pause sign.
We sat down next to the slide that my bro was frozen on.
We talked for a couple seconds.
I tickled my brother.
After seeing me do this,
the orange haired boy punched my brother very very very lightly.
We all laughed and the game resumed.
My grandma told me to say goodbye.
Now I think about him a lot,
wondering, just wondering ,
"Why did he come up to me,
he could've just played with other people,
he could've asked my brother,
there was more people that looked around our age,
why couldn't he ask them"
Someday, I wish to see him again....
