"I'm glad I finished it. The beginning was a bit confusing and took me a while to understand what was going on. The story was too slow for me to start, that could have been my fault as like I said I was lost at first. BUT when the meat and potatoes of the book was revealed I was hooked! There were some deep connections that I put together afterwards. I may need to read again to see what else I may have missed. This was an unexpected read! Thank you for sharing. "

"Just finished and I'm sad its ended and I need to find out if theres a second installment! Its an insanely intense read. I think its the delving into what makes people tick that is fascinating to me. Its a love story at its core, showing our insecurities and vulnerability and how pressured we feel in love and life. Our need to seem perfect, in control. It weaves past and present very well and feels to me set in a dystopian society and has a film noir style. Very sophisticated novel. The authors writing is highly imaginative with a great turn of phrase and killer lines that held my interest entirely.. Almost totally polished, but epic ! A credit to the author! I highly recommend this unique thrilling romance, a movie in the making! Thanks for the undoubted hard work!! Read it!"

"Took a bit to fully follow the story line, and still not completely certain I grasp it. If Kol and Cossette are indeed siblings, why would they marry? Why is he so intent on keeping her captive? I get he loves her deeply, but still..... and why is she so illiterate? Surely she wasn't kept that much in the dark about writing, reading, etc."

This is another book i read and she has unique way of telling story without letting reader to put the book down. Mostly i liked Kol alot and they way kol and cosette loved eachother.
