Chapter 1
Rosalie’s POV
At the first break of light through the curtains, Rosalie slowly opened her eyes. She could feel Eric’s cold breath upon her neck. The hair on the back of her neck stood at attention as she laid there as still as possible.
I hate this!, she thought to herself as she tried to think of the best way to get out of bed without waking him. If he feels me move, he’ll get all pissy like always. Eric, was the head vampire of the Nightwalkers’ Clan. Her father who was in charge of the Ester Witch Clan had arranged their marriage. He said that in order to keep the clan protected from the blood thirsty werewolves the two races needed to be united. Werewolves were said to despise witches to the point that they would kill them on sight. Rosalie had never met a werewolf so she had always wondered how true that was. Actually no witch from her clan had seen a werewolf in ages. Therefore she hadn’t seen and still didn’t see the need for the two races to be united through their marriage.
She gently shifted her position and was able to gently ease herself out of Eric’s arms. As she stood she turned and looked at him. She once found him attractive even though he was an insufferable asshole with his bleach blonde hair and blue eyes. Now though all she could feel when she looked upon him was utter hatred.
Oh how I hate you! You bastard! Eric had been the one that had gone to her father and suggested this whole mess that was her life. He had seen how beautiful she was and had to have her. He had made advances before and she had turned him down every single time. That hadn’t stopped him however from going after what he wanted which was her. She couldn’t understand why he wanted to be with her when they could barely stand each other. Maybe they could have been good friends at one point in this fucked up marriage but now all she felt was hatred towards him.
Eric flipped onto his back his eyes still closed as she stood there thinking of multiple ways to end his life. He brought her nothing but pain from verbal to physical abuse. Though now she played no innocent part in it anymore she admitted to herself. After the first few months of putting up with it, she had turned ruthless herself. She pushed, hit, and verbally abused him back. She hated who she had turned into but she’d be damned if she was going to lay down and take the abuse without fighting back.
“So are you going to continue standing there and debating about it or are you going to kill me already you dumb bitch?,” Eric asked without opening his eyes to look at her. A flame jumped to the palm of her hand as her anger flared.
“I could easily kill you if I wanted to Eric and you know it,” she spit out venomously.
“Sure sure. Do it then witch?”, he retorted back with a smirk as he looked at her with his blue eyes. He ruffled his hair as he yawned bored with the situation already.
She lowered her hand as she turned to go to the door. “I hate you Eric,” she stated. As her hand touched the doorknob, she was slammed into the door with so much force it knocked the breath out of her.
“Too bad really because you’re stuck with me until the end or you die whichever comes first my love,” he commented in a harsh tone. He pulled on her long red hair making her bend her neck backwards towards him. Suddenly he yelped and jumped backwards as her hair was engulfed in flames.
With a bitter laugh she turned around and glared at him with her cold blue eyes. “Lay another hand on me and I’ll make sure your hand is so burnt you will never be able to heal it no matter how much blood you drink,” she threatened.
She couldn’t believe it when he curled his lips up in a smirk. She was even more shocked when he ran up to her and threw her down to the ground sinking his teeth into her neck with a growl. I really should stop being so damn surprised by now, she thought to herself as she shoved at his chest. He always seems to have the upper hand. She chanted under her breath making a cloud of smoke appear hoping that if he couldn't see he'd let her go. Her attempt was futile though only serving to anger him more. He sunk his teeth in harder and deeper causing her to let go of the spell and lay there like a good girl for her punishment.
She could feel his hard on poking her in her stomach as she laid there. It was a disgusting feeling and she hated it. The fact that he got turned on by being the one in control of the situation was sickening to her. Tears of anger rolled down her checks as she silently took her punishment.
He finally pulled his teeth out of her neck and sat up to look her in the eyes. He wiped her blood off his mouth as he looked at her daring her to say something else. Instead she laid there wishing him dead as she remained completely still. Even the burning pain in her neck couldn't get her to talk, as much as it hurt she was used to the pain. He never took the time to heal his bites he inflicted instead she would have to hide them with turtle neck tops, scarfs, or makeup. Her magic wasnt for healing.
"You done already," Eric asked smugly, "such a pity Rosalie but then again maybe you actually like being treated so harshly?" He smiled wickedly as he traced his finger from her chest down towards her core. Don't say anything, she told herself willing herself not to cringe. He wants a reaction don't give him one he'll leave you alone.
She didn't flinch or speak as a sudden knock on the door interrupted him.
He sighed angrily as another knock came before standing up and turning to answer the door. Rosalie quickly took the opportunity to get away from him rushing to the bathroom.
The bathroom was huge and had a pool sized tub in the center of it that always stayed hot and full.
Turning back to the door she cast an enchantment spell to keep anyone from entering until she was done. She knew she would have to pay for it later if he tried entering but didn't care. Turning back towards the tub she quickly stripped off her clothes and climbed in automatically starting to scrub herself. She could never scrub hard enough though try as she may. She wanted his touch, his breath, his hardness everything gone from her. She hated her life.
