I remember your smile
your laugh
when you had your good
and bad days
when you took your
last breath
right infront of me
my whole world ended that day
Heaven just took you too soon .
I was a child
but all you saw
was an opportunity
to show me just how cruel
the world can be
You left scars no doctor
can heal .
Our love was like
flowers
without soil and water
the flowers would
have never grown .
I showed you my weaknesses
who would have thought
that one of these days
you would use it
against me .
I gave you my all
and more
all I ever wanted
in return
was a little bit of
love and patience.
You were the cage holding
back my freedom
and my happiness
As soon as I escaped
I started to see
beauty and light
in every single thing .
I am fighting my demons
at night
you sleeping peacefully
The scar you left in
my soul can never heal
Even if you went to jail
I will forever look myself
at the mirror
disgusted
by my very own sight .
