Chapter 1
“Hey, Jennie! Hey, Rose! How are you guys?” Jennie exclaimed. She ran over to a pair of girls joyfully talking.
“I can’t believe we got into the same school together!” The pair sighed.
“Hey, Jennie. We’re good, you?” Lisa replied, annoyed. Jennie could hear the sarcasm and annoyance in her voice, but she didn’t care.
“I’m good!” Suddenly, there was a loud SLAM!
“Ugh, I hate lockers!” Rose shouted. Lisa tilted her head.
“What’s wrong, Rosie Posie?” She asked.
“I can’t get this stupid locker open.” Lisa chuckled and handed her a sheet of paper.
“Put your locker combo on this, then follow the steps to open it.” Rose fiddled around with her locker.
“YES! FINALLY!” She yelled. Everyone was looking at them. “Sorry, sorry everyone.” Rose bowed a couple of times and then continued with her business. Lisa stood up from her small locker after shutting it.
“I wish I got a tall locker, but then I wouldn’t be able to see the numbers!” She laughed. The trio then trotted over to their first class.
It was lunch time, and the girls walked over to the bleachers to eat their lunch. They were gossiping and saying bad things about people behind their backs.
“Guys, I’m not really comfortable with this….” Lisa’s voice was drowned out by Jennie exclaiming,
“OMG YES HE IS SOOOO ANNOYING!” Lisa hung her head. Her legs lay limp, hanging off the seat. She felt so lonely. No one was listening to her, so she felt like no one cared. It seemed like no one ever had, even though plenty of people cared.
