Prolouge
A man groans as he is knocked onto his back. He quickly gets back up, blood seeping through his clothes and onto the ground. The rain makes his clothes stick to his body. The man pulls out his wand and proclaims loudly ” Trabem”. A bright blue light shoots out the wand and hits the target of his pain. The cloaked man stopped moving as if he were stunned. The wounded man dashes towards a boulder around him. It was a boulder that was wailing. No! It wasn’t the bolder but something behind it, it was a baby! The baby of the man who was fighting for his life right now. His small infantile baby was in a wood cradle.
The man grabs the cradle from the handle and starts running. He didn’t know where he was going but he needed to find shelter. The spell he just cast was wearing off quickly. He would teleport but his energy level was too low. All he could do now was run away as fast as he could.
The man didn’t get far before he heard the sound of crunching footsteps behind him. ‘The spell wore off already?’ he thought worriedly. Now determined, the man kept going until he reached a cave. Without thinking he ducked into it along with the screeching child.
Not wanting to get caught he slowly picked up the child and started rocking it while humming. Soon after, the child finally settled down and fell asleep. Seeing that everything was under control, the man sighed in relief and conjured a light with his wand. He looks around the cave before gasping in shock.
A huge, 15-foot creature lay there in the dark, staring right at him. The creature had brown feathers with wide white eyes with no pupils, signaling it is in attack mode. The man slowly put his baby down before cautiously staggering towards the beast. As he grew closer the beast started growling. Once he reached her he realized why she was like this. She had a cub behind her she was trying to protect, even though she was hurt herself. There was a huge cut on her left leg that looked like it had been there a few days. Her body was covered in holes and blood. It seems like hunters came by and tried to kill her for her feathers.
The beast stayed in its place, glaring at him while growling. The man slowly put his hand on the griffin’s stomach and smiled at it to show that he means no harm. The man was naturally good with animals, it’s like they instantly felt a connection with them. The griffins stopped growling and went out of attack mode, its real blue eyes showing.
Just as he gained the trust of the creature, he heard those familiar footsteps. He quickly picks up the sleeping child and sets it next to the baby griffin behind the mother as its eyes blank out again. The man kisses the child’s head before going up to the mom and reaches for her head. She bends down and lets his palm touch her forehead. “I know you want to see your baby live, and I know you don’t have much time. I need you to send them here. Someone there will take care of both of our children. I promise.” As he says that a picture of a blue house fills the Griffin’s mind.
The griffin was a little hesitant but it nodded its head anyway in desperation. He goes over to a section of the cave and rips off a long piece of vine that hung from the ceiling and put his child and the cub on the griffins back. He tied the vine around the griffin and made sure the children would be okay with the makeshift seat belt. Sure enough, his child was still asleep while the cub looked up at him in wonder.
Hearing the footsteps even closer now, he tenderly kisses his child's head before quickly going to the mouth of the cave. He runs out as fast as he could. Hearing the sound, the cloaked figure runs after him. The man kept running and running until he hit a clearing. Seeing no way out he braces himself with his wand in hand.
The figure walks into the clearing and pulls down his hood, showing a long jagged scar running from his right temple to his left jaw, the once pale white skin now pinkish. The person who was chasing him was Hagrid the Horrid, he was a grim reaper until he went rogue. Usually, rogue grim reapers get taken care of, they get wiped off the face of the Earth. ” Hahaha, you really think you could get away after what you did? You thought wrong, David. I’m going to kill everything you ever loved.” Hagrid says in a crazed tone. David was bleeding pretty heavily and couldn’t use his magic anymore. Hagrid wants to consume his soul and David can’t let that happen. If he did Hagrid’s power would be immeasurable.
There were only two things David could do.
David quickly swirls his wand and says “Maledictum Foraminis”. A green light flies from his wand to Hagrid’s chest. The magic hits Hagrid in the chest. David falls to his knees because of his energy depletion. Hagrid’s loud laugh sounds throughout the forest. “To think even you’re magic won’t work anymore. Finally! I’ll have the meal I deserve,” he says, at the end licking his lips.
David smirks at the arrogance of the villain. Although that hit didn’t hurt Hagrid right now, it was going to later. What David just casted was the hole winding curse. With that curse a million holes will invade Hagrid’s body, he’ll die a cruel and painful death. The effect depends on the soul of the afflicted.
Now that that was done there was only one thing left to do, destroy his soul. Although he won’t be able to reincarnate it’s worth it. Anything from letting this psycho get what he wants. David drops his wand and looks up at the sky, saying his goodbyes as he sees the griffin flying above him.
‘Goodbye Henry’ he thinks before turning back to Hagrid. With a sneer, he says, “I will never let you get your way. I would rather die.” Hagrid just laughs at him. “What do you mean I won’t? I already have! The Grand wizard of the Magic Alliance is at my mercy. Once I have your soul, I’ll be set for life! The amount of carnage I would create would shake all three realms!” he exclaims.
“That is if you can stop me.”
“What?”
Before Hagrid could even say anything David’s body exploded in a light of green and he suddenly collapsed. Shocked, Hagrid goes to the fallen body. He touches the body and feels no sign of his soul. Hagrid shouts in anger, “NO! NO! NO!“. Hagrid quickly gets up and flies off. “I’m going to kill his entire family!” he says darkly. At that clearing, David’s body sinks into the ground. The ground slowly consumes his body until there was nothing left.
In the distance, a huge creature soars through the skies. Barely flying steady, it struggles to find a place to land. After a few more minutes of struggling it finally found its destination. The griffin ungracefully lands into the backyard of a dark blue house, causing a loud thud to sound. It sits there as a woman comes bounding out of the house. She looks at the backyard in shock. ‘There’s a griffin in my backyard!’ she thinks. The griffin can’t keep its balance and falls over. The woman runs over to the creature in worry. When she gets there she sees the wounds on the creature and gasps.
The griffin’s breath starts to shake as it tries to get back up. It fails and falls back down. The woman immediately touches the creature and tells it to calm down. Eventually, the Griffin calms down as its life starts to wither away. The woman can only sit back and try to console it in its last minutes.
Just as the light left the Griffin’s eyes, the woman heard a cry. Confused, the woman gets up and walks towards the sound. She soon came to find out it was coming from behind the Griffin.
She looks in shock at the sight before her. There were babies! Sure one was human and the other was a griffin cub but they were still babies. Wrapped around the Griffin’s stomach was a green vine that held the two down. Luckily the Griffin didn’t crush the children when it fell, but it was still weird that the human one didn’t cry. Surely she was just too focused on the Griffin?
After running through her thoughts the woman picks up the two children. When she does that she looks down at the children and sees them crying. The human baby wailed while the cub gave sad screeches.
The woman solemnly goes into the house. She looks towards the fallen griffin for one last time.
