Chapter 1

They came out of the

fog descending on are land like a disease their stench unbearable hundreds of rogue wolves. One with a missing eye howled your land is now ours he then turned to another rogue wolf and said go find her she can not live and instantly i knew why they where here. I turned to my father he looked at me and said Kaylum protect your sister at all costs even if it means death we both shift and begin to fight.

*sometime later during battle*

There are to many our pack is out numbered ,I turn to my father only to see four large rogue wolves drag him down. His grey eyes are the last thing I see, before four more rogue wolves jump on top of me. They start ripping me apart as I'm fighting back, the best I can, as im being pinned to the earth. I look over after hearing a scream to see my little sisters purple lifeless eyes, staring into mine.i go into a frenzy snapping at anything I can grab on to satisfied when I tasted blood.

after several hours of fighting rogues i begin to weaken from blood loss. Soon the rogue wolves I'm fighting decide I'm close enough to death and leave me in a pool of blood. I hear a whimper near by and notice it's my mother struggling in a large rogue wolf's jaws she then falls to the ground silently.

I reach out to her as her green eyes fade her life leaving this place by the time i reach her she's cold to the touch and I shrink away as her last thought enters my head.

*Kaylum, if your alive run. I know it's a coward thing to do, but your all we have left. Your fathers gone I felt our mate bond brake, just before they found us. Run and don't look back.*

I have no idea where i got the strength but I began to run. Past the remainder of our pack fighting rogues, who began chasing me as I ran. I ran deeper into the darkest part of the forest. Glade to be a distraction so the rest of my pack could escape.

I must have been running for hours, my entire body hurt. My legs burned all the way down to my sore paws. My eyes felt like they were going to bulge out of my head as the branches and briairs tried to scratch them out, and my lungs felt like they where going to burst with each breath. But something inside me kept me running through the pain.

I could smell I was no longer in familiar territory by the smell of salt and pine. I could still hear the rogues chasing me. They kept telling me I was going to die like the rest of my pack. I would have turned and faced them, but I know it would be of no use with the state im in,I should have watched were I was going instead of worrying about them. The next thing I knew the ground was gone and I was falling and tumbling down into a deep dark place. It felt as though time its self had come to a stop. In an instant everything goes black.

The last thing I hear before everything goes black is a whisper, at least it sounded like a whisper from where i am where ever that might be.
It was the two rogue wolves saying,"Hes definitely dead after a fall like that, let's go back."

I awoke in a dark place my vision hazy. Trying to rid myself of the dark spots and trying to not black back out i looked up at the hole id fallen through unable to tell if it was light or day. All I knew was I wanted water to drink and to wash off the dried blood in my black fur. The smell of the blood sends pain through me. I smell the tint of my sisters blood mixed with mine and shed a tear. The pain finally erupts like a fire spreading through my body. I howl out in agonizing pain as I look at my injuries. And the pool of blood im losing. I notice i have two broken legs and four broken ribs.this is the most pain I've ever been in.

I had to of hit a few rocks or something on my way down with the way how badly my body hurt. A stalactite was sticking straight through my hip, not counting the injuries from running and fighting. I could hear water flowing near by in the invading darkness, thank god I can see in the dark. I let out a painful growl as I pulled myself off the stalactite and dragged myself to the edge of the pool of natural spring water. I noticed it flowed down from a crack in the wall. I took a drink and then dragged myself the rest of the way in. I let the painful memories wash away and then the darkness descended again. The last thing I remember before my eyes closed was, a pair of glowing eyes.
