My life is horrible. Living in a castle with maids, 275 rooms, 1 king, 3 step sisters, 2 mothers and...me.
Out of everything, the one room I'm allowed to be in is my room, The attic. It's barely enough for 2 people to fit inside, but my father says I should be grateful I have anywhere to sleep at all.
I eat scraps, and I'm forced to stay indoors. My Father says It's for everybody's satisfaction, so they won't have to see my ugly face. He says I'm unpleasant to look at, that I look nothing like him.
He's right, I am ugly, I have freckles on my face, my face is round, my nose is small, my legs are short, my breasts are big, and nobody likes that.
I am forced to look in the mirror at my eyes everyday and to be reminded that I will forever be ugly, and nothing but ugly.
The soldiers, every 1,000,229 of them bring their boots, swords and armor for me to clean, and if I'm not done by sunrise, I get punished.
Being cut, with the same swords they use to kill their enemies, is way more painful than anything. Taking turns to cut on me twice, sometimes I wonder how they have the time to do that.
My two stepmothers and 3 stepsisters bring in their laundry for me to wash, their shoes to polish, and for me to make hair extensions for them.
If I'm not done by the time they come into my room, which is at anytime, they burn my back with heated stones for the period of time they were away.
My father brings his crown and robe for me to clean and polish.
I don't know why he gives me those, since I'm impure, as he said, but he does anyway.
If I am not done after 5 minutes or he sees a scratch that is barely noticeable on his crown, I get whipped 10 times with 100 sticks.
All because I have different shades of eyes and scales.
I am he only one in the kingdom with blue hued-white scales, pale skin, pink icy fingers, and different colored eyes; one blue, one green.
No-one in the kingdom has scales, or any of those features, so I am considered ugly, deformed, an insult to the creations of the kingdom.
I will never have a mate, according to everyone including me. I will be accepted, I will die alone, and noone will ever love me.
