The Truth

“I don’t know why but Siu has been as quiet as a mouse lately,” said Min quietly. “Now that you mention it the tall jerk has been really quiet lately,” said, Moon. The Truth is Siu had been hiding in their dorm for the past week, because of something he had done. “Maybe after class, we should check on him to see if he’s ok” suggested Min. Eventually, the bell ended up ringing so the two went off to class.

“OPEN UP” yelled Moon at Siu’s bedroom door “NO” yelled Siu back at Moon. It went on like this for at least an hour until Min got home and persuaded him to open the door. “So,” Moon and Min said as they entered the room. “So what,” said Siu. He was usually more on the quiet side but for the past few weeks, he had been quieter than usual. “Could you at least turn your music down so your deaf ass can hear us speak?” said Moon “Sure mom” Siu said. Moon and Siu had been best friends since they attended elementary school, sometimes the two fought and bickered like a married couple. “We came in here to talk to you,” said Min “Ok talk then,” Siu said.

“Waiting on you to talk is killing me,” said Moon. “What do you want to hear,” said Siu “Whatever you want to talk about,” Min said. Siu had so much stuff to talk about but he couldn’t bear telling them what had happened two weeks ago. “Well, I hate to inform you that there is nothing I would like to speak about,” Siu said. “Ok then I’m leaving,” said Moon “Goodnight”. Soon after Moon had left for bed Min eventually ended up leaving to go to his room but not before he could ask Siu a question. “Do you not think we don’t know your lying?” ”You’ve been so quiet the past few weeks quieter than normal” said Min.

*IN THE MORNING*

“Woah I’m shocked you actually showed up for class,” said Moon. “I wouldn’t have come if Minnie didn’t convince me to,” Siu said. Min looked up at Siu and smiled he barely used the nickname Min had earned in Middle school for being the shortest of three at the time. “Maybe we should head to class,” said Min. “Good idea smart one,” said Siu. so the three went off to their classes.

Later when class was over Min was the first to get back to the dorm so he went and explored Siu’s room to see if he could find anything about why he had been so quiet lately. He ended finding nothing. “Are you sure you didn’t find anything off or strange in his room?” Moon said. “Yes I’m sure it was all normal except a strange magazine he had in there,” said Min, he was referring to a playboy magazine.

*BOOM* “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT,” said Min. “Me,” said Siu. Siu had just gotten home and had slammed the door shut, why did he slam it? Because he had fallen asleep in class and got yelled at by the professor. “I didn’t know he was such a bear when he woke up,” said Moon. “There’s something we need to talk about,” said Siu. He was about to tell them what he had down to one of their fellow classmates. “Do you remember the other day when Jae was making fun of Min in the hall?” asked Siu. “Yes I do recall him doing that to me,” said Min, Moon also said she remembered that happening. “Well I ended up getting really mad at him and we had gotten into a fight after school,” said Siu. “Your stupid how did you not get expelled?” asked Moon. “Not important right now, anyways I ended up following him to his house,” Siu said “Ok,” said Min.

After about another hour Siu finally got to the point of why He’s telling them this. “Well I had a knife and it was calling my name,” said Siu “Hold the fuck on why in the world were you carrying around a knife,” said Moon “I honestly really don’t know,” said Siu. “Well on with my story, I ended going in his following him to his room and I stabbed him and killed him,” Siu said. At that point Min had started to get tears in his even if Jae was always mean to him for being gay he didn’t want him to die, Min always wanted everyone to be happy even if they hated him or he hated them. “I- I don’t even know what to say that was the totally wrong thing to do,” said Moon.

“I know it was and I feel really bad for doing it I don’t know what came over me, I just got the high sense of anger over me,” said Siu. “I don’t even understand why you didn’t tell us sooner,” said Min. “I was going to I was just too worried to say anything,” said Siu. Usually, Siu wasn’t worried about anything that was just the type of person he was. “YOU TOO WORRIED ABOUT SOMETHING SINCE WHEN DOES MR. POPULAR RICH KID GET WORRIED ABOUT ANYTHING” said, Moon. “Calm down Moon,” said Siu. When Moon gets mad she doesn’t calm down after five minutes it takes her days to calm down. “CALM DOWN YOU’RE TELLING ME TO CALM DOWN? AFTER YOU JUST SAID YOU KILLED SOMEONE.” Moon said. Min had started to fully cry now Moon was hugging him while Siu was trying to apologize. “I-I know that h-he was making fun of me b-but you didn’t have to kill him,” said Min while crying. *A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER*

It had now been at least three weeks since Siu had told his only friends what he had done to Jae a former classmate. Min had accepted Siu’s apology but Moon had not. “Come on Moon just accept his apology,” said Min “No what he did was wrong,” said Moon. Min understood that what Siu did was wrong but he couldn’t bear watching their friendship fall apart like it was. “Ok well when you finally want to accept we’ll be in the dorm,” said Min. Siu was very upset that his oldest friend had stopped speaking to him he understood why she wouldn’t talk to him but he missed her a lot. “Still no Moon?” asked Siu “No she refuses to accept your apology,” said Min.

Siu and Min both keep trying for weeks to get Moon to accept Siu’s apology at some point she finally did. “I accept your lazy apology,” said Moon. They all knew that she couldn’t stay mad at him forever. “Good, I missed your sarcastic remarks,” said Siu. “I’m glad to I was starting to miss having someone to talk to when Siu locks himself in his room for long periods of time,” said Min.

The three got their stuff out of their lockers and started to head to their classes.
