"I was immediately attracted to the author's choice of a cover picture as well as the title. The novel provides a great opportunity to learn about the culture of South Africa during this period of history. Words are very descriptive and carefully chosen. I have not yet read enough to comment on the plot but intend to continue reading to the end. I do wish there was more conversation. Sometimes a lot can be discovered about the individual characters through their conversations."
