Chapter 1
Sasha's PoV
The young woman had just finished practicing her favourite spell that she is teaching herself. She is self taught since she has never had a mentor to teach her. It's a simple fire resistance spell which is definitely going to come in handy at some point in her life, or so she likes to think. The thought of learning one of the many types of resistance spells popped into her head when she realized that since her whole family had been killed in an unexpected house fire caused by her parents enemy who she doesn't know and wanted her family dead, she was the only survivor so she thinks that she should know how to protect herself from the kind of element that had killed her family in case they decided to come back and kill her too. If that ended up happening she couldn't say she was surprised because well they did come back and they killed her new family as well destroying her again, she is the unluckiest person she tends to think but she isn't there are people in this world who have gone through more traumatic events. The woman has not had the best life but she is trying to make it the best it can be which honestly is not going so well, all at least not as good as she would like it to be but it'll do, it'll have to. It's not like she could just make a wish in a fountain or do a spell or maybe even a ritual and if she was able to there is no way of knowing that it will work and what if she ends up having to do bad things, break her morals and then finds out it was all for nothing, that won't be fun for no one especially the victims and herself.
The woman was having an alright day though she usually has good days, but it's mostly because she most likely saw this man, with blonde hair, ocean blue eyes and a six pack, boy was this man strong as hell. His name is Dillon Martinez, he is an absolute douche but the naïve girl doesn't see that. That he's just using her for her powers and money, she loves him and he also loves himself too but he doesn't love her, he thinks she's a monster but she can't see that. Dillon can be nice that's a good thing, a decent thing but he's usually a jerk but in those moments of niceness he seems like he's the kind of person that everyone loves and wants as friends because he's really nice but not too nice he's a pushover or too nice it's sickening. She thinks he treats her like a queen and he does, sometimes, anyways. The young woman I'm talking about is Sasha, Sasha Craven.
She's a Witch and a Werewolf, and the only person who knows is the douche Dillion. She's very powerful and because she is both she's wanted dead or alive, dead because then there's no more abomination magic or alive probably to be experimented on as well as tortured. She doesn't know that she's extremely powerful, she also doesn't know that she's being hunted by hunters but not your everyday shooting deer hunters but the hunters like Sam and Dean Winchester from the show Supernatural, the supernatural hunting hunters, there not supernatural themselves well they kind of are, at times. She's being hunted by the hunters because she shouldn't be alive, she's too powerful.
Sasha is slightly overwhelmed by this magic she contains in herself but she's happy with it, she likes being supernatural it makes her different and she likes not being like everyone else, different is always a bad thing sometimes it is the best thing to exist. Happy because she's got Dillon, Dillon is a man who is actually the son of the CEO of one of the biggest companies in the world. It's a company owned by the military of the United States. Dillon is set to take over as CEO of the company once his father retires which isn't that far away he is set to retire in two weeks, so fourteen days and he'll be someone that no one can definitely mess with and get away with doing so. His girlfriend is probably only dating him for the money and fame but who knows maybe she'll surprise us all and actually be in love with him but if she's anything like him she's just being shallow and using him for the decimals meaning money.
She doesn't know that Dillon has a girlfriend, but she'll soon find out, it won't be that tricky. When she does find out she's going to be heartbroken and it'll be the third heartbreak of her life, first was when her family died. Second was when her best friend passed and soon it will be when she learns the man who she's in love with is just using her for money because he's father won't give him any and he has a girlfriend who most likely doesn't even love him but he loves because he's an spoiled brat who doesn't truly know what love is and feels like because love wasn't something you could just get for free from his family but was something you must earn with good grades, manners and money.
Anyways let's talk about something else shall we? We shall. So soon there will be a knock on Sasha's apartment- oh and there it is. Knock knock. Sasha makes her way to her front door slowly and cautiously, it's late a night so she's hoping it's not some psycho nut job looking for a good victim because she's not really your weak, defenceless female victim, she's a power witch who could kill anyone easy, even Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, not that she knows that or wants to do that I think.
Once the woman makes it to the door she just stands behind it for a few seconds before looking through the little peep hole to see who it is at the door, Dillon? She thinks; what is he doing here so late at night? After thinking about reasons why he is here because he practically never comes here, she's always at his place or somewhere else together, it was unusual. Sasha opened the door and spoke softly, voice dripping with surprise "Dillon?" she questioned "What are you doing here" "Just was in the neighbour hood, saw you had your lights on so I knew you were awake cause you can't sleep with the light on, thought I would stop by to say 'Hey' to my favourite lady" the man responded letting out a breathy laugh after he finished speaking, he was amused by her shock. 'Oh' was all that could be mastered up from her, she was so incredibly embarrassed, she is very good at doing that, embarrassing herself, her face turned red and she covered it with her hands making him move her hands himself so he could see her face. "Don't, don't cover your pretty face" he said slowly, placing her hands to her sides and letting go. She turned more red as she breathed out "Okay"
"Want to finally come in and take a seat in the living room or nah?" she grinned out somehow she had had a burst of confidence which tends to happen from time to time at different times. "That's my girl, you're so pretty when you're being confident and yes I would love to come and sit with you in your living room" this response made her proud of herself as she moved out of the way so he could come in and told him politely to follow her into the living room where she offered him a coffee to which declined. "I thought you loved coffee" she asked "I do but I lied to you, I'm here for a reason and not a pleasant one for you but for me it's great news" "Oh, what is it" Yeah, I'm sorry, so my father is planning on retiring soon and as you know his job is very important so I'll be taking over so I will be moving states and I'm bring my girlfriend of two and a half years, can you believe that? So long it doesn't even feel that long, with me" he spilled the latest gossip in his life with her. To say she was confused, saddened and angry was an understatement, how? How could he keep this from her? How long have they been together? Why didn't he mention her? Why didn't he tell her about him? Why is he taking over the company already? His father is only forty-seven isn't that like too early or something? Why would he lie to her about important things? Was she really not important to him? Did she mean that little to him that he couldn't tell her things like this? Why did he always flirt with her? Why was he such a selfish person? He's not this dumb, he knows that she's inlove with him, he has to.
She had so many thoughts flying around in that pretty little head of hers but no answers. "GET OUT!" she screamed as she slapped him in the face leaving a slightly red mark, as much as she would love to have slapped him as hard as she could she knew she shouldn't and she shouldn't sink so low though she really wants a low moment, a moment to be low would really help her out a lot she thinks. Dillon reached his hand and placed it on his red cheek "Sash, please, I'm sorry, let me explain '' he begged, his eyes full of worry and desperation. "OUT" she screamed out again, her throat isn't the best and never has been so screaming isn't really a good thing for her to do but this seems like an appropriate time to scream. "I'm sorry" he said before turning round and exiting the same way he came in. Once she heard the door shut and his car start and the sound of the engine was far off in the distance she let herself call onto the ground, she buried her face into her knees and started pulling at her hair. She can't believe she allowed herself to fall for such a prick, though she's not surprised he ended up being terrible, it's just her luck. As she sat there thinking about what in the world just happened and her heart being broken for the third time she had an idea, it was not her brightest idea but alas it was an idea with tears streaming down her face like a waterfall she decided to give him a call and ask him why? Why couldn't he just love her? Live happily ever after? Or as happy as couples can be. She stood up and walked slowly to her bedroom in a slight daze while she slid her finger across the wall on her short walk to her room where she had left her phone not worrying about needing it since she is a witch and can defend herself. Once she got her phone she dialed Dillons number and let it ring out until he answered on the last ring.
"Sasha" he sighed out "I'm glad you call-" he was cut off "shut up" she said to him through the phone. "You're a jerk, let me talk" she went on. "Why can't you love me? Like you love her" her she growled out. "Because she's not you, she isn't some psychotic demon" was the reply laced in anger. "Well neither am I" was her defence sounding incredibly hurt that that is what he thought of her. "Liar, I saw your eyes turn black like a monster, you DEMON!" "Fuck you, I am not a demon" "Goodbye" and as she went to say something the line went dead, he had hung up. She instantly regretted calling him up, she assumed the call would help with the grieving process but it didn't, it hurt and broke her more. She fell against the wall and let out a distraught scream, so loud that she would probably get a noise complaint since it was late at night on a weekday. "WHY" she shrieked. She is in so much pain emotionally, everyone always leaves and or betrays her. The young witch has all these crazy and intense thoughts going on inside her head right now like; why isn't she good enough? Why can't she just have one person who won't leave her? Why is her life so shit? Why won't anyone love her? What makes her unlovable? Is it her looks? Or her personality? Maybe she can change it and then maybe she'll finally have a family, maybe friends or even possibly a partner for life.
She knows that crying won't help her and she knows that changing herself won't do anything well at least anything good for her, she'd probably end up losing herself at some point it she decides to change which in all honest won't be a good thing probably, she might end up going dark side which won't be good for no one, especially herself, right? Right. It's a natural thing, crying is, she has been doing it her whole life from the day she was born literally. As she sat in silence minus her sobbing she thought about how life would be if she hadn't stayed here, if she left her old life behind. She is a receptionist at a doctors office so it's not that important her job so what if she left and started a new life instead of staying where the pain in her life always is, if she moved. She might have a somewhat happy life full of happiness and fun, maybe even have a few friends, why didn't she leave when everyone passed? It was because of that one man, the man she thought would love her back just as much as she loved him and not just be fucking around wiith her feelings.
Sasha's heart was full of hurt, she physically felt her heart ache and she wasn't loving the feeling, she wished it would go away. After sitting on the ground in pain for half an hour she decided that she would get up and lay on her bed, at least her bed was comfortable and not hard and cold. She stood up off the ground and made her way to her bed and slowly lifted up the covers so she could get in between and lay down and rest. She could use a good night's sleep. When she was up it was two in the afternoon, she woke up late but that was because she went to bed late. If she went to bed earlier she would have awoken earlier but with the aching she's glad she slept most of the day. When she woke up she didn't get out of bed straight away she laid down for a couple minutes in self pity and then got up and dressed into full black clothing like she usually did, she hated that she had no one to actually talk to, she had no friends and her work buddies were just work buddies although she was closed to one of them Rosie, she still was not close enough to call her and tell her about Dillon, what was said and everything, work friends is what they were and what they would ever be.
What if I moved? She thought what if I got out of here? Moved somewhere else and didn't look back and just ran, ran somewhere safe where she can live and make friends, start a new life. Change her name and get a new job and a new house, I mean she's loaded so why not? After she got dressed she left the room to make herself a coffee, she could really use a coffee. She walked down to the kitchen and grabbed a cup, once she made her coffee she went to her living room and took at seat on her extremely expensive couch, took a sip of her coffee and then placed it on her table and grabbed her laptop from that same table and opened it up placing it on her lap and setting it up so she can use google and look up flight times, airports and countries she can go to to hopefully find a place to call home and a family to call home, if she can get that lucky. She searches for places that are family friendly and safe to live in, so far she has only scene Canada, there has been Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver, she hasn't been showed buildings but she has been showed areas to live in they she actually doesn't mind what she has scene and she is kind of intrigued but she kind of wants to live in Australia. She has always wanted to go there and see a koala and a kangaroo ever since she was a little girl and heard of evil koalas now she wants to meet one though she knows that they aren't real animals, evil koalas A.K.A drop bears.
Canada seems nice though to her, she loves the cold and it seems cold, Australia is hot but it's worth it because she thinks the animals are cute like the crocodile and the massive spiders and especially the lizards. Canada facts; Ottawa is the capital of Canada, Canada and Norway a longstanding partnership, Canada is the second largest country in the world, Russia is the first, by land mass. This is what she was reading, trying to do research to see if it is a country she would like to live in and or visit but she is interested in it but she still has to look at others and dig deeper into the countries research to know if it could be a safe place for herself and possibly others maybe some people may be there who are like her in anyway but alas she has to actually go there if she wants to know if there are those types of people there. Sasha reads some more facts but decides that's enough research for now and takes a break, she's not into research and studying and right now with what's going on she would prefer to just watch some television and finish her nice glass of now lukewarm coffee and that is what she did for the rest of the day until she fell asleep.
