And how Alyssa handled all the females sniffing around her man was absolutely perfect ... never any name-calling or fighting, just stating her claim and moving on. "I absolutely loved this book. I do hope that you would write more in this world. When I started reading this book I had mentioned to my husband to I don’t really care for books that jump back and forth between present time and backstory, but I loved the way that you did that in this book. I believe that where you put the backstory in the current story was done at the right time and it flows nicely. I would love to read more in this world about all the different characters and if Lis actually becomes Queen someday or if her adopted parents are ever told about who their daughter is actually. Again it was an amazing story, so thank you!! "

"I have read all of Vanessa Ryker’s books and must say I loved them all. However this one I continually come back and reread. The plot moves nicely and has humour and comedy - so many supernatural books include dark themes, but this one is quite light in a refreshing way. It hints at larger issues and ties into the wider verse (her worlds are all connected, werewolves, vampire and fay) while keeping it enjoyable. Along with spicy scenes as well."
