Chapter 1
Lexi 10 years old POV.
I'm Lexi, I'm 10 years old now.
I live with my mommy and daddy in a second storry house. We live on the Southern borders of our pack. I love it here some times I run in the woods and pretend that I have my wolf form. We moved here when I was one year old. My mommy said that I was special and that we were safer here. I guess it's because everyone is afraid of our alpha. I have never met him, so I can't say that I'm afraid of him. I have met the Beta of our pack, that's because he is my daddy's, brother uncle Mike. I love uncle Mike, he comes to our house every morning to grab a coffee with my parents. He said that mommy makes the best Coffee.
It was midnight and the full moon was almost at its peek.
My mother had put me to bed early as normal. I was upset because I really wanted to see our pack shift into wolf's.
"Mommy why can't I see the pack shift in to wolf's?"
"Because we have a rule that says not to bring unruly kids to the fields"
I start laughing because out of the hole park, I am the only one that never gets in to trouble. At least that's what my uncle says. I have never had friends, other than my family and my pony teddy.
"Mommy I know that's not the real reason"
My mother just smiled and answered me truthfully
"Only when you shift for the first time can you go to the fields, it is a Privilege, so only when you are old enough to shift, can you go and see the others shift."
"So when will I going to have my first shift mommy?"
"Oh, Sweetie. You already know."
Yeah, she knows that I want her to tell me again, So I sat and smiled at her, with my big blue eyes.
"Fine... You will shift on you 16 Birthday"
I gave her my biggest smile "I can't wait to shift and run with them"
"I know sweetie, but don't grow up too fast for me, Please?"
I laughed "Okay I won't mommy"
"Okay then it's almost time for me to join the pack"
"Okay mommy, Goodnight have a nice run"
"Only if you have good dreams"
"I will"
"Oky sweetheart"
I went to bed with a smile on my face, I also had a long dream. I was dreaming that I was running with my pack and we came across a herd of horses and in the middle of the heard I saw a horse that tooks my teddy. My pack stopped to watch them, but I wanted to run with them.
But before I could run to them,I woke up in a lot of pain. I screemed for help. But I knew everyone was at the field and the field was close to the northern borders, which meant that no one can hear me. I was in so much pain and no one was going to help me! I screemed at the top of my lungs for someone to help me, in hopes that they could. That's when I realize I was on my own. I'm only 10 so what can I possibly do! That's when I heard a voice.
_"Lexi... Focus, Lexi."_
"HELP!... IT... HURTS!.. IT HURTS... SOOO... BAD!"
"I'm here, it's going to be Oky, don't fight the pain, just try to relax. Think of your mother's voice. Imagine her telling you stay calm."
"What... Is... Hap.. hapening.. To... Me!"
"You are going through your first shift"
"NO... I'm Not, I'm 10 not 16!"
"Yes I do.." I relaxed and let the pain flow. "The pain... it doesn't hurt so much anymore"
"That's good. Okay... now think of an an animal that you like."
"Yes, But it does not have to be a wolf.. our first shift we have to shift into a nother animal"
"I don't know, the moongoddes just told me that we should not shift into a wolf for your first time
"Sorry... I'm Lea, I'm in your mind, I will help you make decisions until you can control your gift"
"Oh you mean my wolf from?"
"Yes and No. I'll explain later. So do you have a animal in mind?"
"Oookay, I don't see why not."
I focused on a horse. I imagined a horse that looks like my pony teddy, a strong and dark beige horse with a black mane and tail.
The next thing I remember was waking up on the ground, as that same horse.
