" Maria come eat some food before school !" Her grandma shouts from downstairs waking up the poor girl from her peaceful slumber . She wakes up and check the time seeing it's almost time for school which to her was just 6: 49 am . She walks into the bathroom and did her routine and get brushing her hair and washed her face then took a quick shower .

Time skip.

She took a seat by the table with her grandmother, she eats the toast, eggs and some sausage.

" so I won't be home til 9 tonight since I had to work over time to pay this month's bill okay honey " she hates when her grandmother work just to make sure they have water and light and also food to eat she can say her grandmother is the bread winner in their family. When she was born her mother died then her father abandoned her and was now married to a woman and stayed with her and her 2 sons.

" okay I will maybe study by the library today then til 6 and maybe go to the arcade or something so u don't have to worry about me grandma " she always made her grandmother smile even in hard times like this, it simply puts a smile in hers also seeing her smiling and not feeling sad. Her grandmother gets up from the chair and gives her a key to both front and back doors and then went outside so she can reach work early.

Maria pov.

Lemme call my best friend aka boy bestie Troy so he can drop me at school since he is going there anyway.

Troy- hey ! Wassup u going to class's today or u staying home .

Maria - am going just waiting for u to come get me before basketball practice or whatever.

Maria - okay and thank u ! .

I hung up and grab my school bag and walk outside sitting on the side walk until he pulls up next to my feet " hey! Watch where u driving bum ! " he laughs and then pull my door so I can get in " am sorry your most high Ness I didn't see your most precious legs " I pushed him playfully . He drives off and then stops to get some Gas then continued to school.

Maria walks next to Troy into school, as usual it was kinda boring each day but she just wanted to get over high school and maybe focus on school or something else . She saw a bunch of people in a bundle around someone. She walks closer and how could she forget there was a top basketball player who got all the attention from everyone mikey. His name was known to everyone not that he was an easy target to date or something but because half his bloodline went to his school and he was 3rd in line to be here from his grandfather and his dad . She walks by but got blocked by aniyah his girlfriend. She hates her because ever since the middle school dance when she danced with her ex boyfriend and got crown prom queen it was the most regretful things in all Maria's life .

" move out my way aniyah I got somewhere to be unlike u " Maria spat trying to go around her but still gets blocked .

" are else what Maria what would u do that's so bad, please don't be an embarrassment " she laughed as the rest laughed along with her .

" move out her way aniyah didn't u hear what she said " that was the voice of mikey 's who was now standing infront of Maria and Troy. Aniyah sighs and move out the way letting Maria and Troy pass . Maria looks back and locks eyes with mikey who gave her a wink 😉 and then turns around to face aniyah .

" do u like her or something why did u help her Mikey " she spat at him furiously, she didn't want him to help and she was really trying to embarrass both if them but it didn't go as planned .
