The Ventriloquist

Ventriloquism originated in 1754. It was known as a religious

practice. ventriloquism came from the Latin language to speak from the stomach.

the stomach of the ventriloquist.

The origins of the vantriloquist used to appear in the stomache, and they would claim the departed spirit of the dead, and they would talk to these spirits and they would answer them. Ventrilloquist dolls was also made to perform in comedy night clubs in the 19th century. Jasmine was sleeping peacefully in her bed with her room completely dark. No night light, no Tv on, no any type of light on. She likes sleeping in the dark. It always been that way ever since she was a kid. Her room is on the upstairs level, across the hall next to her mother's room. She was always grateful that her room was right upstairs next to her mother's instead of downstairs. Their house is really big and roomy.

As she sleeps deeply in her bed, she starts tossing and turning. She was still asleep, but she feels something hard beneath her up under the covers. When She opened her eyes and pulled the covers off, she saw nothing was there. She had a skeptical expression on her face, and than she went back to sleep. Footsteps came walking up the stairs, and Jasmine opened her eyes. She still hears footsteps. She figured it was her mother going to the bathroom. But she hears it repeatedly, and she noticed the hallway light is off, and her mother usually turns the hallway light on when she goes to the bathroom. She got curious and checked the hallway stairs and turned the hallway light on. No one was there. She than checked her mother's room, and she saw her mother sleeping. This was very strange to Jasmine thinking her mother was in the bathroom downstairs but she was sleeping all along. But what were the footsteps she was hearing? She ignored the odd moment

and turned the light off, and went back to bed. She turns to her window side.

"HELLOOO JASMINE," a voice said.

"AAAAAHHHH," she screamed.

"Who is that?" She whispers asking.

No one answered. She dismissed the voice and tried going back to sleep. "I must be outta my fuckin mind."

"Jaaasmiiinee," the voice whispered.

She opened her eyes and sees nothing. She was scared out of her mind.

She started crying. "Please leave me the fuck alone, who ever the hell you is."

She turned to the other side.

"HELLO?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH."

She jumped up so fast and sees a puppet doll smiling. It looked so creepy. It speaks again, and this time she sees it's lips moving. So she got up and ran to her mother's room.

She jumped on her mother's bed.

"MOMMMA, MOMMA."

"What baby?"

"Someone is in my room."

"Your room? I don't hear nobody in there girl," her mother said.

"But momma, you didn't just hear me scream?"

"No child," her mother said.

"This don't make any sense, I was really loud momma."

"You must was screaming in your nightmares," her mother said.

"But this wasn't a dream or a nightmare. This was real. I saw it."

"Saw what?" Her mother asked.

"I saw a puppet doll talking," she said.

Her mother stared at her for a second and smirked.

"HAHAHAHAHA. Baby you betta stop hanging around your cousin Woosie and them, cause they get high off drugs everyday," her mother ridiculed.

"But momma I saw it, and I'm not high momma, I saw that thing in my room."

"You betta start rebuking your nightmares than because the devil is very busy in this season," her mother informed.

"You won't listen to me momma."

"Child, go to bed, you got school in the morning," her mother demanded.

Jasmine went back to bed, but that will be a moment she will never forget. The puppet face she saw will be stuck in her mind forever. She knows exactly what she saw by her bedside, but she sort of having doubts on thinking rather if it was just a nightmare or in her waking state.
