Chapter 1
At the expensive, enormous, attractive yet old fashioned house of Mr Ibrahim Gia lies on her bed rather lost in thought probably about her late father. A lot of things had happened the past year and her father passing did not make that any better.
Gia [to herself]
It had been two months since I moved here but not once had I gone to a real school and all of a sudden dad wants me to go to school.
Aisha (her mother): My dear, what are you doing? You're going to be late for your first day of school.
Gia: Dada don't you think it's a bit odd that baba wants me to go to school now after two months of missing school. I mean was it until he was about to die he thought I needed school?
Aisha: I understand what you're saying but I know for a fact that your father cares for you and that's why he made this decision. Hurry up before you're late
