Summary

The book divides into five parts. Each section illustrates the secular and feminine approach that enriches the individual experience of God, life, and self. The five sections discuss God as self, reconciling duality, creative self-expression, practical spirituality, and sensuality. This is possible because of the revival of an ancient pagan and secular perspective from which biblical wisdom came. These insights reveal how readers can enrich their self-awareness and create an optimal human experience. Elements from my own life highlight the main points and reinforce the premise. This book shares colorful stories and vivid experiences to encourage readers to develop what they already know about themselves. It shows how outsourcing spiritual experience to a sky phantom limits spiritual experience and personal progress. It also demonstrates how readers can cultivate optimal selfhood through authentic spiritual experiences. This book reminds readers that who they are, what they’re capable of, and what they want from life in ways that permit readers to cultivate their authentic spiritual experience. https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B09PFGJNC6&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_3QEAJBGNF2Q5ARH7FPJ1

Chapter 1

Start writing here…Ok, you can stop begging the Space Ghost for divine solutions to your daily problems. You don’t have to pretend to be a good person to get God’s favor anymore. God’s not your mommy, daddy, therapist, pastor, parole officer, or wife. God knows what you really want and how to help you get it. God doesn’t give a rat’s ass about your “Look at me, God, I’m a good person” bullshit skit. You’re only fooling yourself. So, drop the mask and wake up! Don’t you want to start living your authentic life now?

Unfortunately, it’s not that easy to drop superstition and social conformity. Most believers, “spiritually enlightened,” and even the self-congratulating atheists, are desperately trapped in this schizophrenic cycle of spiritual bypass. They’re addicted to pleasing something on the outside like society, science, “spirit,” or a sky phantom. They then wonder why they’re not pleased with their own life.

Perhaps you’ve been taught, like a banana-trained monkey in the circus. You’re jumping through hoops waiting for your treat. You’re too busy smiling and jumping to realize that you’re trapped. You’re locked in a pen within a cell within a cage. The man with the bananas isn’t a god. He’s just the banana man.

You’re not alone. Most of us are pressured to outsource our intelligence, judgment, creativity, and will to something outside of ourselves from childhood. We do this at the expense of our own satisfaction and joy in life. Even those who claim to be rational, logical, intelligent, and sane find it nearly impossible to shake the manufactured dependence on sky phantoms, higher powers, and the fucking banana man controlling their destiny.

This book offers a sensible spiritual alternative beyond sky phantom monkey cults in religion and even modern wokeism and science. This alternative is secular spirituality. It’s a holistic approach to morality, self-awareness, and God that works. Believe it or not, you can overcome superstition, guilt, shame, self-pity, and self-criticism. You can stop jumping and smiling like a caged monkey begging for bananas and validation. You can finally stand still and know God within.

Secular spirituality is holistic. It’s the unavoidable step in our evolution beyond moralism. As a species, we won’t progress without it. It awakens sensible spiritual experience without sacrificing logic, reason, imagination, and creative intelligence. This means reviving the feminine principle in our spiritual approach and reawakening Christian paganism for a balanced view of God. The world is finally ready for it. Humanity is turning away from the idols and graven images of fanaticism, sycophantic pleading, and myopic moralism.

Hey God, Wake the fuck up! offers readers a secular spirituality that highlights the feminine principle preserved in biblical allegory. Conventional Christian appropriation of the Bible (a pagan compilation) has suppressed the original balanced view of spirituality for centuries. The Church removed the Bible from its pagan roots and twisted its interpretation, making it unrealistic and superstitious. This made the Bible useless for practical life in a sophisticated and harmonious society. When humanity lost the sensible spiritual experience that made spirituality as practical as breathing, people began outsourcing their destiny and desire to society, the priesthood, and disembodied, ethereal beings.

Secular spirituality reintegrates sensibility (feminine spirituality) into the spiritual experience. On the other hand, airy-fairy ideas about God, Life, and Self limit your personal growth. They also sabotage our collective human progress. You’ll realize that you can stop outsourcing authority in your life to a phantom in the sky. It’s time to wake up and understand that “God is not some man in the sky to be venerated but something in you to be cultivated.”
