Graduation cannot come soon enough.
Although I love my major, I cannot wait until next year when I finally get to put it to good use instead of just sitting in a classroom all year and learning about it. Don't get me wrong I appreciate it but there comes a point where you are just too antsy to learn anything anymore and it is just repeated material over and over drilling it into our brains which I have got into my brain so deep I would be surprised if it was possible to leave my brain.
That all happened about two terms ago and now I just feel like this is a waste sitting here in a classroom when instead I could be out there in the real world fulfilling what brings me joy and I could finally maybe find that missing piece that is missing from my life.
One of the joys of coming to class though is seeing as it is at 8 am every Monday and Wednesday. The sleeping students who basically just moved from one bed to a less comfy one but they are still sleeping but the fun part is when Mrs. Miller calls on the random students who are completely not paying attention.
Which is the true highlight of my mornings well that and my Red Bulls which is what actually gets me out of bed because without it I would pretty much be a slug I hate mornings with a passion well scratch that I hate leaving the comfort of my bed with a passion the fact that it is so early in the morning just adds to my loathing of this time of day.
Once class is finally over I make my way over to my favorite coffee shop with my best friend Penelople to get some more energy in us because we are both in the same boat about just wanting to graduate already and that drains us of our energy but the good news is that once we get there we get to see our best friends.
Olivia and Ivy and Penelope we all live togther in a house we have off campus but its still close enough to walk onto campus which I love because even though I have a car I love walking everywhere not only for the exercise but college kids are completely stupid and so unaware of their surroundings.
Penelope is my best friend and we have known each other since freshman year which is when we were first paired up to room together because we both have the same major so we bonded from the start with our major and what things we imagined doing when we graduate.
She is a little bit above average height 5'6 I believe. She has these curls that make me so jealous with my straight hair. It's very pretty especially with her warm colored skin that makes her look like she is always glowing. She always has a different hairstyle everyday. I swear she's never had the same hairstyle twice which is very impressive. She is half black but she doesn't know where specifically her ancestors are from.
I was basically her tour guide because she is Portland, Oregon and when she took me with her one time for summer my god I never wanted to leave the west coast is beautiful and I loved exploring everything but also everywhere you go people are always working out they are so healthy over there it's just so normal it's scary like I felt like if I accidentally crossed to the other side of the road I would end up in a 10k unknowingly.
While we were there she introduced me to Dutch Bros and my god I could have died right then and there and been happy it's like starbucks but for energy drinks instead it was truly my home I want them to expand out here fast because I believe that everyone should be drinking that instead it is just so good. I met her siblings while I was out there and she is the oldest with a 19 year old brother Jake and a 17 year old sister Karli.
Olivia I met in one of my classes during my sophomore year in one of my science classes and she was my lab partner the entire time and if it wasn't for her I would have been lost because science and journalism literally should not be grouped together.
Olivia is very short, a whole whopping 5'2 but she is feisty and extremely ballsy. She's like a firecracker and says pretty much everything that comes to her mind. She has no filter and it's hilarious for me but never the people she is ever against. She is Colombian but has only been there a couple times her entire life.
Like don't get me wrong I understand the need for Gen-Eds but sometimes it's like really do you actually think this will be doing me good or have usefulness in my field. With Liv being a Pre-Med major and becoming a surgeon in the future she basically can do it all in her sleep.
She wasn't a bitch to me for not getting it she was just so amazing and eventually we started hanging out outside of class which led to her meeting Pen and she joined our friend group because her friends before were toxic but she just didnt want to be alone but they kept coming after her about being gay so I decided to shut them up.
Now they no longer bother her. If you mess with her you mess with me. I can't just stand back and watch that happen to the people I love. Olivia is a middle child with a 23 year old brother Ryan, 22 year old brother Carson and a sister Kate 15.
How Ivy and I met is not like the other two although we are as close as I am to the others.
We met in a bar and had a one night stand which was well I won't say it was amazing . It just feels weird too because she is one of my best friends and I could just never see a relationship with her that isn't platonic. So when I saw her the next day with Pen introducing her to me at our coffee shop to be added to our friend group, dare I say awkward beyond belief. Now it is just a funny story that we talk about but then it was really uncomfortable. I'm glad we could move past it because if we couldn't then I would have never met one of my best friends.
She is an art major and my god she paints and draws some of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen but no matter how much we tell her she still thinks that they are average because of the way that her egg and sperm donor have talked to her over the years. Oh when she said she was an art major I thought they were gonna have a fit but when she told them she was a lesbain I thought their heads were gonna fly off kinda like that game we all used to play when we were younger poptropica yeah... it was awkward and hilarious at the same time but she no longer talks to them and in the summer she alternate between staying at Livs house which I think they should just stop but as they say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. The other half of the time she is at Pens house although last summer she spent a lot of time at the house with me and Asher. She is the oldest with a 12 year old brother Jayce and a 3 year old brother Jack.
Ivy is black from easten africa and 5'5 which is just a little bit shorter than Penelope. She has vitiligo on her face which she calls Alaska which is hilarious but it makes a lot of sense and I love that she names it. Her hair is always in braids because no matter how hard she tries her hair will never grow much longer than shoulder length.
Now about me I am the youngest with 7 siblings . I know that's a lot and you must be thinking with me being the baby that I am spoiled endlessly but you are very far from the truth but anyways.
So I have my oldest brother Zach who is 34 and married to Casey and 3 kids.
Abby is 32 with Kaden and they are expecting their first by June.
Then Derek who is 28.
Kathrine who is 26 married to Cole and they have 1 little girl.
Atlas who is 25 and has a girlfriend Kayla and a 3 month old girl.
Mara is 23. She's single as far as I know.
Then my twin brother Asher who is 30 minutes older and then there is me and we're 20.
What I think is cool is that we were not the stereotypical friend group of a bunch of white ponytail bitches.
Now that we have arrived at the coffee shop I am relieved because now my brain can finally have a break and just enjoy my time with my friends and find out what we are doing this weekend for Livs birthday.
"Guys... Guys, how about we go to the Aesculapia game this weekend. I hear it's gonna be good and maybe we can even see Derek suck it and embarrass himself." Liv loves watching other people she hates embarrass themselves and I couldn't help but laugh at that.
"Ohhh I'd love that, okay I'll get the tickets."
"Maybe we can even find you a boyfriend or girlfriend there or even just a hook-up you need to get laid."
I'm literally choking on my drink. "Liv this is your birthday we are not finding someone to hook-up with especially since it's at a game that is so not happening."
"Whatever you say. I'm just saying I hate that you aren't at least getting laid, common girls go hit someone."
"Oh my god no I don't need to get laid. I am doing fine besides I don't have time for that shit right now after I graduate and get a job. I'll reconsider your offer but as for now no."
"Okay okay but when you get to the game and come out with a hookup i'll tell you I told you so I mean have you seen the team they are hot I tell you."
"Mhm I'll take your word."
"Ughhh so difficult."
"I don't see you with a girlfriend"
"Fair but I still get laid."
"Alright alright but I gotta go before I'm late for my next class bye guys." They all said buy in unison and then headed back to the apartment to do what I'm not sure.
After I got back they were all studying so I decided to do the same and then when everyone was done we finished the night by having a movie night and watching Mamma Mia! Which is pretty much a go to in your apartment but it doesn't help us settle down for bed because we all end up belting the lyrics.
But eventually we all went to our rooms and went to bed.
