His Luna

Chapter One

"I love you,"

“I love you, Hailey,” Jason says staring into my brown eyes with his green ones, kissing my forehead, I could get lost in his beautiful eyes for days on end, how they make me fall in love with him over and over again every single day. I bite my lip my heart racing and the fear slowly raising.

“What if the pack doesn’t accept him as our mate?” Bre says into our link and I try to shake the fear off of us both, and I smile at him, “Our pack will love him, just as they love us.” I tell her to which she nods in agreeance with me. He grabs ahold of my hands gently noticing that something is bothering me, I grip his hand to assure him that I’m okay, because I have no words to explain how I feel. But I don’t want to worry him I know that for sure.

“Are you ready mate? They’re waiting for us.” I ask him calmly not showing any fear, for a minute he looks down and gulps, he’s afraid of not being accepted as my mate, of being ridiculed for not being an alpha claiming his luna. But to hell with those stereotypes, it’s 2048, not the 1800′s anymore. I kiss him passionately, assuring him that everything is going to be alright. Finally, he looks at me with newfound strength in his eyes with a determination that I haven’t seen before, it made my heart flutter.

“I’m ready.”

I walk out without him slowly into the packhouse and in front of the whole pack, they’re talking excitedly wondering what it could be today that we have found, once I reach the front of the room everyone goes silent. My beta Leo standing by my side ready to do the pack acceptance.

“Good evening everyone!” I say loudly with a smile on my face and the pack smiled and greeted me back, “today is a very special day, a few weeks ago I met my mate, Jason. We are accepting him into our pack today as our alpha, but don’t be alarmed, I will be training him on alpha duties and will still be doing these duties myself as well.” I finish slowly as Jason walks up with his head held high, but also smiling and greeting some of the pack members, I watch as they stare at him trying to see what his intentions are.

Once he gets up here he kisses me in front of them, causing them to “awe”, I blush standing next to him made me feel tiny, but also safe at the same time. “Do you Jason Fisher accept your role in the pack to become the alpha?” Leo asks looking at him intently, ready to beat him up with one wrong move towards me.

“I do accept,” Jason says proudly and Leo cuts my hand and then his, we let it bleed into a bowl for a few minutes so he can officially become part of the pack. He looks towards me and smiles, and he kisses me roughly but gently at the same time.

Until suddenly he stops and falls limb into my arms, “I look all over him to see what happened, only to see that he’s been stabbed straight through the heart and he gasps, looking at me one last time he says “I love you, Hailey,” I start crying immediately and begging him to hold on.

The pack medic rushes up and she helps me get onto the floor, but by the time she starts trying to help him he’s gone, and I start looking around to find who murdered him. His blood is all over me and is gushing all over the packhouse floors, finally, I see someone standing there with a smirk all over their face and blood on their hands, I’m in front of them in seconds and their neck is snapped.

I get back to Jason immediately and start begging him to come back, tears streaming down my face, “please I love you.” I beg, as my wolf starts howling in pain, I put my hand on his chest wishing I was a witch, my whole pack started howling in pain as they feel what I’m feeling.

I jolt awake from the nightmares covered in sweat, my heart beating 90 mph if only the nightmares weren’t my memories, if only it never happened. It was still dark out and I get up and out of bed not wanting to try and go back to bed to just have the same fucking memory over and over again. Even though it’s been 2 years I’m still hurting, my wolf is still crying every now and then, but the pain isn’t as bad as it used to be. Some days I wish I was a vampire so I could turn my humanity off, but others I know that I’d go on a killing rampage.

I run out of my house fast needing the feel of my fists punching the punching bag, my legs and arms begging to rest, and my back crying for me to stop, I need to feel something other than emotional pain, before I lose my mind. The whole pack is asleep so I decide to go on the training grounds to keep myself from waking them up, I run faster than my legs want me to push myself further and further, to go faster and faster.

The sky was beautiful, the moon was shining brightly, and the cool breeze was soothing, but not soothing enough to calm every waking nerve that wanted me to do anything really. once I reach the training grounds, I start working out like there’s no tomorrow. Being rough with everything I do until my body can no longer take it.

Paperwork on paperwork is what I spend most of my days doing until my beta walks in and starts begging me to do something else, to which he doesn’t get a response from me and just gets a dirty look and flipped off. I haven’t spoken since the day he died, my last words were me confessing my love to him since then I no words have left my mouth unless it’s to integrate rogues.

“Luna, I got a rogue in our cellar for you, laughing like a manic, I have an odd feeling.” I hear my beta say through our mind link, I take a deep breath not wanting to deal with any rogue situations today, but get ready to go handle it. I don’t bother saying anything back through the link, not wanting to even bother. Leo is my best friend, and when we speak I speak to him through our link. But he hasn’t actually heard my voice since that horrific day.

I walk straight to the cellar all the anger in me raising and raising fast and dangerously the closer I got to the rogue, I felt my wolf begging to get control, but I ignore her and walk faster until I reach the cell and smell a rancid thing. Snarling I look at the rogue, and the rogue head snapped up at me, looking at me in surprise, and then he started laughing.

I walk into his cell not wanting to play any games without thinking twice and grab him by the neck slamming him against the wall, my hand tightening around his neck quickly.

“Who are you and why are you trespassing?” I snarl letting my wolf come out a little, my eyes flashed from brown to red showing him that I’m not the one to fuck with, he whimpered in fear knowing immediately that he came on the wrong territory. “I was sent here to give you a message.” He says not getting to the point and taking his time, my hand tightens even tighter around his neck and he screamed. Beta Leo brought the gun laced with sliver over for me if it became necessary. I took it with my free hand making the rogue cry.

“He wants to kill you... please don’t hurt me!” He begged and I started laughing, another stupid little prank from a stupid little mutt, I shoot his leg making him scream in pain.

“Tell him that if he wants to, then to get over here and fucking do it. Instead of hiding behind a pussy.”
