“Roza, bring me my dress” yelled the beautiful but very old Queen.

This Queen was magnificent in many ways but at times can be cruel. Some say it’s because she lost five husbands. But I think it’s because she knows she just lost her people and children to an evil man named Octavian. The Queen’s name is Cleopatra, I’m her only girl guard and assassin and Roza is the maid.

“Which one, the black or purple one, They are both your favorites right?”, asked Roza with a bit of worry in her voice.

Roza is always scared of Queens, Kings, and anything that has to do with rulers. She was abused by many rulers as a child, including Cleopatra’s last husband but Cleopatra saved her from him. My name is Ambrosine Chandra. Ambrosine means “immortal” and Chandra means “ of the moon”.

“Yes, the black one” said Cleopatra taking the dress out of Roza’s right hand.

“Today is my last day and my children’s last day here, and I must get ready to say my farewells to them”,said the Queen of Egypt.

“But you will your majesty on the other side with peace?” I replied trying to cheer her up just a bit but when it came out it sounded sadder than I thought.

“Well, I guess that is some good news that I shall meet my husband again but if only I had your power to live immortal as both vampire and werewolf” she said behind her changing curtain.

The more she talked about it the more I keep reminding myself I’m not human.

“what would you do with it, save your children, they will only think of you as a monster” I replied.

“True” she answered.

Just then the door open quickly and a guard came in followed by Octavian. Octavian was a tall, bald man and looked scrawny. Cleopatra walk out of the changing area. She look so pretty in that black long dress, almost like a goddess.

“Meet me in the throne room, swine!” Octavian said walking out.

“Respected a Queen” I yelled back.

Then he turn back around and looked straight at me and said “ don’t forget your place; you’re the first to died amongst your comrades. I was going to make you one of the Queens in Africa but now you shall hang”.

He turned again and started to walk but more slowly.

“ for what?” I yelled.

“Witchcraft” he laughed.

I look at Cleopatra and she went ghost white and so did Roza. I almost forgot Octavian was going to kill all of Cleopatra’s trusted servants.

“I don’t want to hang” cried Roza “ and I don’t want you to hang either” and sank to the floor weeping.

“I’m so sorry Roza” cried Cleopatra going down to her hugging her.

“Don’t worry I have a plan, Roza” I said “I will save you at the right time."

Both of them knew I will not just run without scaring Octavian first and that’s just what I plan to do.
