Chapter 1
4 walls.
1 small window.
1 metal door.
I’ve been locked in here for 256 days.
I get 3 meals that aren’t very good to be honest.
I’m getting a cellmate today. I hope they don’t try to talk to me.
I hope they don’t touch me…
The last time someone touched me they seized and died.
They called me a monster.
I’m
A
Monster.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
“Marley, we have a surprise for you,” I remained silent, not even my bones making a sound. “You have a new cellmate, dear.”
I hear him mumble something but I can’t quite make out what he was saying exactly.
The heavy metal door squeaks open.
A boy?
Seriously?
“Marley, this is your new cellmate, Damien.”
I’m breathing fast. He’s looking at me in a way I can’t quite describe.
“Hello, Marley.”
“...Hi”
“You’re a quiet thing, aren’t you?”
I can only nod my head, hoping this would end soon.
Stop talking to me.
Please leave me alone.
Wait, no, don’t leave me alone please
“It’s okay, doll face. I won’t hurt you.”
The day dragged on like a sloth climbing up a never ending tree.
Damien hasn’t stopped looking at me.
Why? No idea.
He’s weirding me out.
Is he going to kill me here?
Will he suffocate me in my sleep?
