"Arshi. Arshi wait, kahan bhag rhi ho??" Arnav heard the melodious voice of his wife. His lips etched in smile as he lay there listening to her. (where are you running?)

"Arnavji, ap muskara rahe hain??" Khushi huffed, coming near him. "Aur udhar ap ki ladli ne hamein ghuma diya hai." She sat with a thud near him and looked at him in annoyance. (Arnavji, you are smiling? And there your love is tiring me!!)

Arnav suppressed his laugh and gazed at his wife, his Khushi. He still remembered the day this lady fell in his arms. And made him fall for her.

But their love journey was not a smooth one. Arnav still regretted trusting Shyam over Khushi, although now this matter was long forgotten and forgiven by Khushi.

Then during their remarriage, Dadi tried to create distance between them but eventually their love won. They were going to complete two years of marriage along with their year old daughter and apple of their eyes; Arshi Singh Raizada.

And the same Arshi was making Khushi run behind her. She just started walking and now hardly sits on one place, tiring Khushi.

"Arnavji," Khushi shook his shoulder. Arnav jerked back from his thoughts and concentrated on the pouting wife before him.

'Oh, how I wish to kis-'

"ARNAVJI", This time Khushi shouted before getting up from the bed. "You know, it's useless to talk with you." And huffing, puffing Khushi went away leaving Arshi hiding behind the curtain.

Laughing, Arnav got up and marched towards the curtains and picked up Arshi. He placed a kiss on her bubbly cheeks, making her giggle as his stubble tickled her.

" Da..dd..y" She whined between her laughing. Arnav felt his heart swell in happiness seeing his little bundle of joy. She was the best surprise he could ever get.

After their remarriage, Khushi asked Arnav about having a baby. She was thinking that maybe he would need some time before going for a family but what he said left her shocked.

"We will never plan for our first baby, Khushi," hearing this Khushi's eyes instantly welled up and she had looked down, not wanting him to see her tears. "Pagal, at least listen to me fully before starting your waterworks," Arnav gave out a surprised chuckle, seeing her tears. Making her look at him, he gently cupped her face.

"What I am saying is, we will never plan for our first baby. I will accept our sign of love, anytime. " He kissed her forehead, making Khushi blush hard while hiding herself in his welcoming arms.

And that's what they did.

After One Year, they were blessed with a daughter, and they named her as Arshi.

Arnav aur Khushi ki Arshi.

"Why my baby is troubling mama?? Huh??" He nuzzled his nose with hers.

"Mama not give ice ceam." She complained in her babyish voice.

"Ice cream?? In morning?? seriously, princess??" Arnav raised his brow at her. But just like Khushi, his fake anger is easily caught by his daughter.

"Daddy. Do again." Arshi was fascinated by the way he lifted his eye brow.

"Do again ki bachi," Arnav made her lie on the bed and tickled her. Her laughter was the fuel of his life. "No no no", she giggled. (Do again kid)

"What no??" Arnav stopped and asked.

"Mein Annav Kusi ki bachi." She replied making Arnav laugh out loud. She was just a year old, yet her brain was sharper then her age fellows. (I am Arnav Khushi's baby)

Arnav turned hearing another chuckle and saw Khushi standing at the door with a bowl in her hand. He smiled at her which she returned. "Arnavji, go and get fresh. Everyone is waiting for you."

"Okay." He got up as Khushi came near him. Hiding Arshi's view as she sat on the bed, Arnav quickly pecked Khushi on lips and winking, left to freshen up.

Khushi stood there, blushing hard. "Besharam", muttering she picked up Arshi and went down. (Shameless)

When Khushi got pregnant, Arnav was highly caring towards her. He pampered her a lot. At that time, he started taking off times from the office and worked from home instead. After Arshi was born, he got paternity leave and spent two months with his family leaving Akash to look after the office.

After that, he limited his time in office, and on Saturdays he go late to office and comes back early. Sunday was the day especially meant for Khushi and Arshi.

His whole family supported him and Khushi. Arshi was very closed to her Anji Bua, as she used to call Anjali. Post pregnancy, Anjali and Payal were always ready to stay up at night so that Khushi could get some sleep.

Arnav was grateful to them.

A year has passed and now Arshi was Two years old. As she grew up, it also increased Khushi's responsibilities. At the age of two years, Arshi was as energetic as any other kid. One second she needed Khushi beside her and the next second, she would be running away with her trailing behind.

When Arshi started walking, Arnav had installed railings along the stairs. And now, when she practically runs all over the house, the stairs were not forgiven either. She used the stairs more often than needed and Khushi had to accompany her every time. It was tiring for her.

From past year, Arnav was more occupied in his office as Akash went to States for spreading AR branches. Most of the time, he worked from home also. He hardly got time to spend with Arshi and Khushi.

And for Khushi, after getting so much pampering from him, his distant behavior was eating her up. She was desperately trying to cope up with this change but at the same time, failing miserably.

It was a normal day.

Arnav was working on a deal. It was Saturday evening, yet he was unable to go home early. Khushi knew about his work, so she and Anjali took Arshi to mall to divert her mind. Because once she started asking for her daddy, she never stops crying until and unless Arnav picks her.

Khushi was tired as she was on her monthly days and upon that, Arshi was giving a hard time to her since morning. Now also, she was going here and there on every swing in the 'baby zone' making Khushi run behind her. When they returned after two hours, Khushi took Arshi to her room. She was exhausted for the day and upon that, Arshi didn't let her sleep previous night.

Almost all night, she kept pacing Arshi's room. As soon as she stopped or put Arshi on bed, she would start wailing. It was wee hours in the morning, when she finally slept, but then it was time for Khushi to do some house duties.

Payal was expecting her first child so she was gone with Akash to states with Mami to take care of her. Khushi couldn't leave all the house work to Anjali so she helped whenever and however she could.

Entering the room, she saw Arnav sitting on the recliner with his laptop opened before him. his phone stuck to his ears, and his hands busy in shuffling papers in the file. She sighed as Arshi toddled towards him.

Arnav passed her a smile and then again got himself engrossed in his work. Arshi pouted and looked behind at Khushi. She gave her a smile, and knelt before her. "Daddy not pick." She complained in her babyish tone.

"Daddy busy na." Khushi cupped her face. But Arshi was not able to stand the fact that her Daddy refused to pick her up.

"No No No", Arshi cried, hiding herself in Khushi. "Da..dd..y", she hiccuped, with tears flowing down her cheeks. Khushi waved her hand in front of Arnav to gain his attention, and gestured towards crying Arshi.

But to her horror, Arnav shook his head and standing up, went to the poolside, still talking on phone. Gulping, she parted Arshi and wiped her tears. She sniffed. "Baby, Daddy abhi busy hain. Hum thori der baad un k paas jayen gai. Ap tu meri achi bachi ho na??" (Baby, Daddy is busy right now. We will come back after some time. You are my good kid na?)

Arshi jerked her hands away. "No No No, Da...d..d..y chahiyen." Her tears were stabbing her heart. Just like all mothers, she was unable to see tears in the eyes of her child. (I need Daddy)

Arshi again hiccuped. Khushi made her sit on the bed and turned to the side table filling her feeder with water, when she heard a crashing sound behind her. She turned abruptly and saw coffee mug broken on the floor, with Arshi standing beside it.

"Arshi." She shouted coming near her. Arnav came inside, finishing the call and saw his most of the papers drenched in coffee.

"My papers." He picked them, horrified.

"Ap ko lagi tu nahi", Khushi picked up Arshi, worried. (You are not hurt, right?)

"Aik minute k liye kamre se bahir gaya tha, dhyaan nahi rakh skti thi tum is ka??" Arnav snapped at Khushi. (I just went for one minute from the room, can't you take care of her?)

"Mere saare papers kharab kr diye hain is ne, DHYAAN KIDHR THA TUMHRA??" Arnav shouted making Khushi flinch. (She spoiled all my papers. WHERE WAS YOUR ATTENTION?)

"Arshi ro rahi thi Arnavji. Mein bs us ko pani dene la-" Khushi tried to speak but in vain. (Arshi was crying, Arnavji. I just went to bring wate-)

"Damn the water, Khushi. I have told you thousand times to keep Arshi away from my work. But no, when do you listen to me??" He slammed the papers down on the table.

Arshi was stiffened in Khushi's arms. It was for the first time she was seeing her ever sweet Daddy shouting at her mommy.

Unknowingly, she grabbed Khushi's shirt in her hand. At once, Khushi realized her presence.

Not answering Arnav, she placed Arshi on the ground. "Baby, don't cry." She wiped her tears. "Daddy is not angry. Hmm." She kissed her eyes.

"Well, I AM ANGRY." Arnav again shouted. "Can't you for once leave me alone in peace??" He pulled Khushi upward.

"Arnavji, Arshi dekh rahi hai. Calm down." Khushi whispered although her eyes were stinging with unshed tears. (Arnavji, Arshi is watching)

"So WHAT?? Aik tu itne mushkilon se ye papers theek kiye the, sara kuch kharab kr diya is ne." He gritted teeth and glanced at Arshi, who at once hid behind Khushi. (I fixed these papers after so hardwork, she spoiled everything)

"Papers hi tu hain, bus bhi karen." Khushi caressed his arm but Arnav was already stressed up and now this happened. (They are just papers, let it be)

"You know what. Tum dono nikal jao is kamre se. Leave me alone. Koi kaam nahi hota theek se." Arnav pushed her a little and turned. (You both leave the room. Can't do a single thing)

Khushi stumbled, as Arshi was right behind her. In order to save Arshi from the scattered pieces of broken cup, her own foot landed on it, making glass pierce in her foot.

"Ahhhhh." She cried but Arnav was already gone to the poolside. Standing with difficulty, Khushi picked up Arshi and went outside.

Her eyes were shedding tears as she reached Arshi's room. Placing her on the play mat, she went inside the washroom and brought out the first aid box.

Arshi silently watched her every action. When Khushi touched the glass, a sob left her mouth.

She was trying. Trying hard to manage everything. It were two years since Arshi was born yet even now she faced difficulties in handling her.

She was able to handle everything when Arshi was months old, as she used to just lie down and sleep most of the time. But now, as she started walking, and growing up, it was becoming hard for Khushi to handle her.

"Ma..mma." Arshi placed her small hands on her arm. "Han baby.." She cooed, even though she was in pain.

Both mentally and physically.

"Ch..ot lagi? Dar..d hola?" She asked as she wiped her cheek. (Are you hurt? Is it painful?)

"Nahi tu. Hamein tu kuch nahi hua." Khushi completed her dressing and lifted Arshi. (No, nothing happened)

"Chalo, it's time to sleepy sleep." Khushi took her to washroom and after cleaning her up, changed her dress and made her lie on the bed.

"Doodu." She demanded in a cute voice, making Khushi sigh. She again picked her up and made her way downstairs. (Milk)

Every step she took increased pain in her foot, but she continued walking. Reaching the kitchen, she placed Arshi in the baby chair and made warm milk for her.

It was dinner time, so HP was busy preparing it. "Hari Parkashji." She called him.

"Ji, Khushi Bhabhi?" He stopped his work.

"Hum Arshi ko sulane ja rhe hain. Nani ya Di dinner k liye pochen tu bta dena hamein bhook nahi hai." Khushi shook the bottle. (I am going to put Arshi to sleep. If Nani or Di asked for me, tell them I am not hungry)

"Ji, bhabhi." He nodded.

She again picked Arshi and was leaving kitchen when she turned again. "Aur han, Arnavji k kamre mein cup toot gaya hai. Safai kr wa dijiye ga." Saying, she left. (And yes, a cup broke in Arnavji's room. Clean it)

Coming in the room, she took Arshi in her lap and started feeding her. After a while, when she slept, Khushi made her lie down on bed. Arshi was used to drink milk with the feeder but still needed mother's warmth while doing so.

Sighing, she laid beside her and securing her with the cushion on the other side, dozed off, tired of everything.

Arnav completed his work and clearing up the place, came downstairs for dinner.

Anjali was serving. His eyes searched for Khushi but she was not anywhere in sight.

"Khushi kahan hai??" He asked to noone in particular, ignoring Anjali's teasing gaze. (Where is Khushi?)

"Unhon ne kaha k unhain bhook nahi hai. Wo Arshi bitiya ko sulane lagi hain." HP said while entering with a dish. (She said she is not hungry. She is putting Arshi to sleep)

"Arey, Khushi ne tu mall mein bhi kuch nahi khaya. Sirf Arshi ko hi khilaya tha tu usse bhook kyn nahi lagi??" Anjali thought out loud. (Hey, Khushi didn't eat anything. She only feed Arshi, why she is not hungry then?)

"Hum dekh kr aate hain." Anjali left towards Arshi's room. (I will go and see)

Slowly opening the door, she came near the bed and found both mother-daughter duo sleeping peacefully. She smiled and without disturbing them, went away as she knew that Khushi didn't slept last night.

"She is sleeping, chotte. Must be tired, Arshi ne kal sone nahi diya na usse." Anjali told him and everyone started having dinner. (Arshi didn't let her sleep last night)

Arnav was unable to take a single bite as he remembered the words he hauled on her.

Now when he thought about that scene, he realized the pain which was visible in Khushi's eyes.

"I am done." He suddenly said, gaining attention.

"But chotte, you didn't even eat anything." Anjali raised her brow. "I don't feel like eating, Di." Pat came the reply and Arnav stood up, wishing night to everyone.

"Arnav bhaiya" , HP called him when he was about to step on the stair.

"Yes?" he turned.

"Your room's first aid box was in the kitchen. Do you need anything for the wound??" HP asked showing him the box, leaving Arnav confused.

"Wound??" He questioned.

"Yes, when I picked up broken cup from your room, there were blood drops." Hearing this, the scene flashed before Arnav's eyes. The scene when he pushed Khushi.

Was

she

hurt

?? Or Arshi?? Damn. Grabbing the first aid box, he dashed towards Arshi's room. Halting at the door, he gulped before slowly opening the door and entering.

He stood at the base of bed and gazed at his wife and daughter. Arshi was sleeping holding Khushi's hand, which was placed on her chest. Khushi had her arm rolled under her head. Looking closely, Arnav saw dried tears marks on her cheeks.

That's when he noticed that Khushi seemed to have lost her weight. Her cheeks were more hollow, eye bags were more prominent.

Slowly lifting the blanket, he saw bandage on Khushi's foot and realized that indeed she was the one who got hurt. Tears stung back of his eyes as he leaned down and placed a kiss on her foot. Khushi flinched at the touch.

Arnav adjusted the blanket on her and sat beside her.

"I am sorry, Khushi." He whispered in her ear and kissed her temple, letting his tear escape and get lost in her hair. He sat beside her for sometime and caressed her head. Khushi sighed and turned so now she was sleeping on her back.

Arnav placed her bangs behind her ears, caressing her cheeks. He took her hand in his and kissed her knuckles. Placing his head on the headrest, he dozed off gazing at her face.

It was around 7 am when Arnav yawned and stretched himself. Lazily opening his eyes, he glanced at his surrounding. His neck was stiff due to his position all night. Rubbing it, he looked to his left and was bewildered.

Khushi and Arshi were not there.

'Ye kahan gaye??' Asking himself. he went outside as quickly as he can. First thought was of kitchen and that's where he went. But only HP was there. (Where they went?)

"HP? Tumne Khushi ko dekha??" He asked searching for her in the living room. (Have you seen Khushi?)

"Khushi Bhabhi tu naye ayen neeche. Abhi tu Anjali Di aye thin." HP answered. (Khushi bhabhi didn't come. Anjali di came though)

"Ap Arshi bitiya k room mein dekh len, wo aksar wahan hoti hain is time pe," He suggested. (look in Arshi's room. She is mostly there at this time)

"Mein wahin se hi aa-" he stopped, realizing the same. (I am coming from there onl-)

Without saying anything, he ran towards his own room and frantically entered.

And there they were.

He sighed audibly but then frowned looking at their position.

Arshi was sleeping in the baby bed placed behind the recliner while Khushi was sitting there, sleeping. Her head resting on the railing of the bed and her hand twisted and in hold of Arshi. But what crushed Arnav's heart were the blood stain on her bandage.

He cursed himself for missing her awakening and taking Arshi from the room, only if he knew that it was not the first time.

Coming close, he gently removed Arshi's grip and picked her up in his arms. Arshi grabbed her collar and leaned towards him.

A chuckle left his mouth seeing her same antics like her mother. And that's when realization hit him that it were so many days since he last picked a sleeping Arshi.

"I am really sorry for neglecting you both, baby." He kissed her forehead and went outside.

Coming to Anjali's room, he knocked and entered.

"Di, can you please keep Arshi with you sometime??" He asked after wishing her morning.

"Sure, chotte. I even asked Khushiji to give her to me when she woke up but she denied." She told him taking baby from him.

"When did Arshi woke??" He asked.

"Around 5." She replied putting Arshi on bed and securing her with the pillows.

"You go and tell Khushi to rest, me and Nani will look after her", she gestured towards Arshi.

"Thanks Di."

"Anytime, chotte." Anjali smiled.

Arnav left.

He came back in his room and closed the door. Coming to the French window, he closed it and pulled curtains, leaving the room in dim light. Kneeling beside Khushi, he picked her up bridal style. She curled up in his arms, grabbing her collar while nuzzling his neck.

Arnav placed her on bed and opened her bandage. The wound was not deep, thankfully, but the walking made it bleed as it was not given time to heal. He nursed her wound again.

Coming close to her, he took her in his arms, and she lied down on his chest. The change made her eyes flutter and her hand searched for her baby, even in her sleep,

Mothers.

"Arshi??" She called, too tired to open her eyes.

"Ssshhh", she heard soothing voice of her husband which she had missed since long. "Arshi is with Di. Sleep, I am here." He caressed her head and eventually she fell in sleep.

Arnav kept awake this time, thinking of all the time he neglected his life for his work. What's the use of him working hard when his family is not happy with it??

And he knew that whatever happened yesterday was no big deal as he made it. The papers were already mailed to Aman after the changes and so he could have easily gotten a copy of it.

And it was Sunday next day, for God's sake. The meeting was on Monday and till then he could have made new papers; heck he has that potential in himself.

But no, he chose to lash out on his wife for a thing she didn't even do.

And Arshi??

How scared she looked when he shouted on her mother.

'And Di said that Khushi didn't sleep previous night too. If Di knew that she was awake and even today she knew when Arshi woke up, how come I never wake up by her crying??

And this is only one night I know about, God knows how many more nights Khushi spent like that. I thought that Arshi now sleeps full nights and so does Khushi.

But, Oh God!!'

He waited patiently for Khushi to get up. It was around 9 am when Khushi sighed and yawned, finally awakening up from her sleep. First thing she noticed was a hard chest beneath her head and arm wrapped around her waist.

She kissed the place where she was keeping her head and tightened her hold around his torso.

"Ap kab aye??" She whispered. (when did you come?)

"Khushi, get up, I want to talk with you." Instead of his morning husky voice, she heard his cold voice.

"Kya hua, Arnavji??" She asked getting up and looking at him. (what happened?)

"Tum yahan kyn aye jab subah Arshi uthi??" He asked straightaway. (Why you came here when Arshi woke up?)

"Wo..." she stuttered, "Ap ki neend kharab ho jati, is liye." She answered playing with the button of his shirt. (Wo, your sleep would be disturbed, that's why)

"Khushi, mjhe ye baat pehle pata hoti tu mein pehle keh deta, lekin ab mein aik baar kahon ga aur isse hamesha yaad rkhna." He made her look at him by lifting her chin. (Khushi, if I had known before, I would have said before, but now listen to me once and remember it always)

"Chahe raat mein Arshi roye, cheekhe, hasse ya khele, tum is kamre se kahi nahi jao gi." He said making her eyes go wide. (whether Arshi cries, scream, play or laugh at night, you won't leave this room)

"I renovated room for Arshi because you asked for it. I didn't make it so that you could take Arshi there when I am here or vice versa." He explained.

"Par ap ki neen-" she tried to make her point. (but your sleep)

"Khushi, Arshi sirf tumhari zimadari nahi hai. Meri bhi utni hi responsibility hai." Arnav cupped her face. (Arshi is not only your responsibility, Khushi. She's mine too)

"I didn't realized Khushi that I am neglecting you both for my work. I am sorry." Arnav joined their foreheads, leaning on her. Khushi felt tears pool up in her eyes.

"I left you to deal with her alone, it was my mistake Khushi. I am sorry."

She sniffed, making Arnav alert.

"Khushi", he whispered, wiping tears from her cheeks. "Sssshhh. Ab mein hun na." (Now I am here, na)

"Meine bht koshi...sh ki, Arnavji." She sobbed. (I tried a lot, Arnavji)

"Jab wo choti thi", she sniffed, "It was easy. But ab mein thuk jati hun, *sob* wo tikti nahin hai *sob*." Arnav caressed her head as she poured her heart out. (when she was small, it was easy. But now I get tired. She don't stop)

"Wo kuch dino se *sob* ap k paas aane ki zid krti rehti thi. *sob* pr ap busy the. Wo bht roti *sob* raat ko nahi soti thi*sob*." (She is being stubborn from some days to go to you. But you were busy. She cries alot. Don't sleep at night)

"I am sorry, Khushi. I really am sorry." He hugged her close to his heart.

Khushi clutched his shoulder and cried more in his embrace.

"Meri tabiyat theek nahi thi *sob* Arshi k baad se meri body change accept nahi krti." *sob* (my health is not good. After Arshi, my body don't accept change easily)

"Khushi, is it about your monthly dates??" Arnav asked caressing her back.

Khushi nodded without saying anything.

Arnav parted and made her look at him, "Doctor ko dikhaya??" She again nodded. "Then?" He asked. (you went to doctor?)

"She says it's normal. Girls who have pregnancy at early age face this problem." She wiped her face.

(A/N; I don't know if it's normal or not but my czn sis faced this and her doctor told her this only. Pardon if wrong)

"Ohhh, baby." Arnav kissed her forehead, hiding her in him.

"You were not there." She complained. "You said that you will help me with her but you were not there." She lighlty punched his chest.

"I know I was not, Khushi. I am really sorry, jaan." He kissed her hairs making Khushi cry more.

He let his hand under her shirt and caressed her lower abdomen, making her sigh on his chest.

"I am sorry, jaan." He whispered but she didn't reply. He looked down and found her asleep on his chest.

He let his tears out seeing her vulnerable state. She was missing him. Yet she never voiced it out.

And this made Arnav regret more. How he got so lucky of having Khushi as a life partner?? He surely don't deserve her selflessness...

After an hour or so of sleeping, Khushi again opened her eyes, feeling that she just woke up from a perfect dream.

She heard a sob and at once sat straight. "Arnavji??" She cupped his face.

"I failed Khushi." Arnav placed his hand on hers cupping his face.

That's when Khushi remembered the conversation they had had before she slept.

"Sssshhh. It's okay, Arnavji."

"Nahi, Khushi, tum dekh nahi rhi? Apne kaam k liye mein tmhe bhool gaya hun." Arnav cupped her face. (No Khushi, can't you see?? I neglected you for my work)

"Tum itni kamzoor ho gai ho, raton ko sahi se soti nahi ho, tumhari ankhen itni udaas ho gai hain aur-" Khushi placed her hand on his mouth. (you are so weak. Don't sleep at night. Your eyes are so sad-)

"Bsss, Arnavji. Ab hum theek hain." Khushi caressed his face, removing the worry lines on his forehead. (Enough, Arnavji. I am alright now)

"Wohi na, tum ab theek ho. Tmhe pehle se theek hona chahiye the." (That's what, you are NOW alright. You should have been better before also)

"Khushi, mein aise kese kr skta hun," his eyes pooled up stabbing her heart. (Khushi, how can I do this?)

"Laad Governor," she straightened him and sat on his lap, straddling him.

"Hum theek hain, ap hein na mere sath." She kissed his eyes, sucking the tears even before they could roll down his ceeks. (I am alright, you are with me)

"Khushi." He hugged her, hiding himself in her hair, breathing her in.

And Khushi, she only tightened her hold on him, smuggling close if possible.

"I missed you, Arnavji." She confessed staying in the confines of his arms.

"Do you still love me??" She heard his muffled voice after some time.

"Of course I do, Arnavji." She caresssed his head, ruffling his hair.

"I love you, Khushi." Arnav placed a kiss on her neck, staying in the hug.

"I love you too, Arnavji." She placed a kiss on his head.

"Will you forgive me for my ignorance??" He asked in a small voice, fearing her answer.

Khushi thought to lift his mood and so she whispered, "I will think about-" Arnav caught her naughtiness.

He suddenly lifted her, earning a shriek from her and swiftly made her lie on the bed, hovering her.

"Arnav...ji." Khushi tried to speak but ended up moaning his name.

"So you will

think

about forgiving me??" He nuzzled his nose with hers.

"Ye..s", she whispered.

"Why?" He asked.

"Hamari marzi." She answered with a wink. (My wish)

"Remind me when was the last time we were this close", he referred by nibbling her collar bone.

"Last month on our anniversary." Khushi played with his button, slightly annoyed.

"Uh oh, how can I do such a big sin as staying away from you??" He nuzzled her neck and Khushi brought him more and more near when there was a knock on the door.

No, not a knock.

Someone was banging the door.

"Ma...mmaaaa." Arshi called from outside.

"Arshi ko tu Di k paas chora tha maine. Phir ye??" Arnav asked confused. (I left Arshi with Di. How come she is here?)

"Hum jante the k wo aa jaye gi." Seeing his confused look still she continued, "us ko subah subah mjh se cuddle krna hota hai." (I knew she would come. She wants to cuddle me every morning)

"Meine bht kuch miss kar diya na. He lowered his head." (I missed so much, right?)

"Arnavji, ap ko ehsaas ho gaya haina, tu ab kesa guilt. Ab ap zada waqt hamare sath guzarna, aur Arshi ki adaatein bhi dekh lena." (Arnavji, you realized, so don't be guilty. Now you spend most time with us and see Arshi's habits too)

"Wese aik baat kahon?" She bit her lower lip with naughtiness shining in eyes. (Should I say something)

"Hmmm??" Arnav had a hard time distracting himself from her lip biting session.

"These are for me to bite, Khushi." He pulled her lip, making her blush.

"Kya keh rahi thi", he caressed her lip while looking in her eyes. (what were you saying?)

"Woo. Maain." She stuttered, suddenly she pushed him away and said in one go, "Main keh rahi thi k Arshi bhi ap ki tarhan Laad Governor hai." She huffed. (I was saying that Arshi is also a Laad Governor like you)

"What the.." Arnav started laughing, "Wo kyn??" He asked. (why so?)

"She also wants to hug me first in the morning and also at night." A crimson blush adored her cheeks which instantly got kissed by Arnav.

"Yep, we ASRs are very possessive about you." He winked, and there goes the banging again.

"Hum dekhte hain." Khushi tried to get up when Arnav pushed her back. (I will see)

"Don't you dare put that foot down. I will see." He raised brow and ended up hearing her chuckle.

Arnav went and open the door, and saw Anjali coming there panting.

"I... I am sorry, chotte. I went to washroom and she woke up and came here." She panted.

"Koi baat nahi, Di. Khushi uth gaye thi. Thank you for looking after her" Arshi stood there for a second, looking at Arnav and before he could pick her up, she ran to Khushi. (Don't worry Di, Khushi got up)

Arnav felt his heart pricking. Arshi royally ignored him.

His baby.

His princess.

He came inside and saw Arshi on Khushi's lap, playing with her hairs.

"Arshi." He called but she turned her face.

"Daddy sorry." He touched his ear slightly. Arshi glanced at him from the corner of her eyes.

"You shouted." She complained still hiding behind Khushi's hair and making her chuckle.

"I won't now. Promise." He felt like laying the whole world before her just to get her smile back.

He slipped close to Khushi and made Arshi face him.

"Pakka??" She asked fidgeting with his button. (Really??)

So much is similar between Khushi and Arshi.

"Pakka." He whispered, lighlty pecking her forehead. (Really.)

"Now can I get my huggie and kissie??" He asked batting his eyes, making Khushi laugh.

"Yeaaahhhh." With a jump, Arshi landed on his lap and gave him a bear huggie with a sound kissie on his cheek.

Arnav felt his world complete seeing them both happy.

"So, where does my princess wants to go today??" Arnav asked, placing Arshi on his lap, facing Khushi.

Time to time, he pecked her small hands and held Khushi's hand with his other.

"Ummm." Arshi posed thinking.

"Bua Nani k ghar." She shrieked. (Bua Nani's home)

"Done. We will leave after breakfast. Go tell Anji Bua." And Arshi, after kissing Khushi on cheek, left the room, laughing happily.

Arnav came near Khushi and gathered her in his arms.

"Okay?" He whispered.

"Okay." She replied.

Arnav sealed their lips for a sweet and gentle kiss.

"I will be there for you now, Khushi."

"Hamesha?" She asked in between the kiss. (Always?)

"Hamesha." Arnav kissed her forehead, taking his own sweet time. Khushi closed her eyes, cherishing the moment... (Always)

"Sometimes,

the girl who is

always there for

everyone else,

needs someone

to be there for her"

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
