Summary

Lucy Collins is a precocious ten-year-old, never at a loss for words. Her world is changed after losing her adoptive parents in an auto accident. Her beloved adoptive sister becomes her only anchor in the world. But with Claire away to start college, Lucy is left only with Martha, her stern and overprotective nanny. Out of place among her schoolmates and resentful of Martha, Lucy struggles for a sense of belonging. And so she jumps at the chance to tag along on a college camping trip with her sister and friends. Claire’s friends are taken with the wise cracking and freakishly strong little red head and the weekend seems to hold great promise for little Lucy. Plans are changed when the group discovers the abandoned amusement park. After a day of fun, they make the fateful decision to camp there overnight and are attacked by a clan of werewolves who call the park home. With their lives on the line, Lucy begins to discover the extent of her unusual abilities. And indeed it appears the little girl’s heroics may offer them a chance for survival. That is, until the arrival of the Queen, a horrible creature of such brutality that she is feared by her own kind. Lucy is determined to save her sister but may have to turn away from everything she has ever known just to stand a chance. The stakes are high for both the lycans and humans in this battle for the ages.
